Another Great Halestorm Cover

Halestorm recently covered DIO's "Straight Through the Heart." A studio version of the song will be featured on a new covers album due later this year. Check out a live version below. I've been listening to Halestorm a lot lately and I'm looking forward to this new covers album.

One of the few awards The Academy of Arts and Sciences got right. Like they did with Adele, "Skyfall".
It's certainly nice to see women with real singing ability win and not just the manufactured "pop" confectionaries such as Taylor Swift, whose vocals are "punched in" in the studio and who "sings" live, if not out and out lip syncs, along with a backing track of her own voice, a la Britney Spears, another example of someone who can't sing her way out of a paper bag.
I agree with every word you posted. Halestorm's Grammy win was well deserved... as was Adele's.
Halestorm is one of the few "new" acts out there with "depth".
They showed it by going from the metal awesomeness of "I'm In Love With Somebody, (But It's Not You)" to the emotional complexity of a song like "The Familiar Taste Of Poison"...
That shows ability, cohesiveness, and adaptability.
Were this 1990, this band would be selling 3 million an album. Hope they have a long & successful career.
