Hahaha!!!, Me Wise! It's only a snoozefest if we don't have the murdered out Mercedes tour bus (read triple black anonymous "LUXURY" appointed) to sit out all the boring bands in between the good ones... You guys know who they are unless you want me to list 'em!

A lot of cool bands on here. A lot I don't like. It's pretty diverse and that's really good. I like Linkin Park but I don't think they should headline over Slipknot. Priest is amazing of course. If ya haven't seen Papa Roach live I strongly recommend it. I wasn't a fan at all and hated them before I saw them on cruefest and a few years later with Stone Sour. They have so much energy and the singer Jacoby is probably one of the coolest Motherf%#^*Rs on the planet.

Ain't my cup of tea; a few bands sure, but not this line up this year. That being said. I don't want any of you fuckers, even tipper espredres, to not go based on on the boy's opinion on what "cool' bands are and is. Find your fucking path.

side note to him: "sometimes I don't know where you're coming from..." answer: isn't that the whole (my) point. I'll prove 'em wrong...as I always have.

A mixed bag that does, as at least one person intimated, suggest AEG-style creep into this venerable festival.

Ministry?!!? Really Al? You are the KISS of faux-industrial bands/men, outliving your born on, relevant when, and expired by dates . . . not to mention your guitarist and a driving force behind your few recent stabs at relevance. I would prefer Lard, or even an irony-free traipse back though your affected English accent days. "(Every Day is) Halloween," anyone?

Metalboy!, let me know when you start taking reservations for a spot on that bus. It sounds like a grand escape when the music gets cloying. Taste in music being what it is, you can probably do split shifts and still throw a wonderful party.

And, wow, Fletch. Wow. That is a reference to a nearly month old post. You do keep things in the memory hamper (angry things, dark things, set close by the lucid ones). But sometimes, yes sometimes, you do seem to be firing on cylinders only you can buy and of which only you can hear the rhythmic logic. Prove on, Fletch. Prove on.

him" it's a gift, but seriously, isn't anger "thee" most misinterpreted emotion as it can often serve as a catalyst for change. As for darkness, it's no secret, that I had it pretty hard particularly in high school, but trust me, I'm over it. The thing is, though, stuff like that just doesn't "leave you" because "you left". It leaves an indelible impression on you, similar to the scarlet letter, that can and does follow you for many years to come. Sure, the assaults stopped, but the rumors didn't and it's those rumors (many believed to be true) that followed me into college, into my professions and even onto present day. Once targeted, it can be ongoing.

"Back in my day", as people say, the abuse and assaults were mostly handled differently than they are today. When I was targeted because of a stupid erection in the showers, couple with my poor reaction and ill-handling of the ensuing assaults, the administration, an many levels, believed I was the one at fault and subsequently I was required my to attend three years of weekly therapy in order to remain at that hell hole of a school. And, get this, much of the therapy centered on me "learning to IGNORE the abuse and assaults". No once, did any professional considere alerting law enforcement that I was being victimized: verbally, physically, and sexually. No, a priest was not fucking me in the confessional, but some kids were grabbing my ass, grabbing my dick, shoving their dicks up against my ass, exposing themselves to me asking if I like it, and so forth. These assaults happened almost daily. And each week, I was reporting this abuse to a therapist in order for me to not be expelled from school and learning to "ignore it" or "react better". The lesson was that I was the problem, not them. And this lesson was reinforced over and over again by the administration's actions, rather lack of action.

Currently, in today's headlines, I now get a sense of relief when I see some school districts, like Sayresville High recently, taking hazing much more seriously by contacting law enforcement and cancelling entire sporting seasons. No frickin way would that have happened 30 years ago.

Speaking of 30 years ago (sort of). I was on a facebook chat, recently, with a bunch of kids I went to school with as we were discussing an upcoming reunion. After a while of back and forth facebook chatter another classmate joined the conversation and rage overtook me when I saw him join the discussion. I blasted him in the thread for this treatment of me of many years ago. I was wrong for doing this, but he immediately and humbly offered a very sincere apology and promised me that he would to teach his children better respect for others. I couldn't have asked for more...until moments later a couple people (all female) began attacking me and defending his actions toward me ostensibly saying that I deserved it. Three of 'em even "unfriended" me on facebook afterward, but you wanna talk irony, 5 other people (3 females, 2 males) who were involved in this discussion immediately sent me facebook friend requests.

Anyway, I've bored you long enough. I don't harbor darkness as "him" alleges. Yes, sometimes, on some days, on a few levels, I do believe what happened to me was my fault, but that is not why I share what I share, say what I say, act the way I act. I do these things because I think many of you can relate to my story and hopefully can find comfort in yours. But, more importantly, I know that there are kids in almost every high school who are currently experiencing similar abuse, similar misguided therapists, and similar baggage to handle. Y'know, until a few years ago, I couldn't even admit that the first time I took a community shower, I sported some wood because of the shame I felt, now look at me. Trust me, the sun does shine through the rain...I'm living proof.

There's another dick grab.

inhale, exhale. Count to ten. Ingore it. You're better than them. Let it go. Do it back to them (yeah that worked). And on, and on, and on...

Hey fuckers, I gave you fair warning. Fuck you monica. On, and Chris, I'm so glad about your sobriety, but please stop "speaking for the majority".

Him: hamper time, sorry. Metalboy taught me. She hates when I post that. My bad. Oh, someone just pinched my ass cheek...again.

And I want to tell you fuckers something else...it wasn't my wrestling team that tormented me. A couple of 'em protected me or helped me out when needed. The assaults didn't even happen in a locker room. It was in the hallway at my locker, or on the school bus, or in the cafeteria line, etc,,, or in other words...in front of all you, dumbasses. Thanks for your help, note the sarcasm.

and a mighty sincere thank you to those who protected me and stood up for me. you know who you are.

That sounds pretty dark, Fletch. I wasn't alleging anything if your last post (well, the first of three) is any indication.

Thanks for the reply. You at least clarified some things.

Him: I'll debate you over beers sometime about the concept and meaning of "dark", but, till then, thanks for paying attention and keeping up. peace.

And him: I "thought I" summarized it exeactly, excellently, distinctly, pollishedly, politely, unabashedly, comically, tightly, and poetically, quite nice. -fletch
