Melodic Rock Fest Lineup Looks Good

The Melodic Rock Fest lineup looks pretty good. The festival is set for early October in Chicago at the H.O.M.E. Bar. I've always heard really good things about this festival - people literally rave about the bands and the great time. Tickets and more information are online at melodicrockfest.com. I noticed that a lot of VIP packages are already sold out. If you can't swing VIP, tickets start at $65.

Not one of those names looks even remotely familiar to me.

This is a nice-looking lineup. Most of the bands, as the festival's name suggests, lean more toward the melodic side of hard rock. This isn't necessarily my thing, but for someone who is into that style of hard rock, this would be considered a strong lineup. and one final thing, Heaven's Edge is indeed awesome! Their only mistake was coming along just a little too late. Had they put their first record out about three years earlier, they might have become superstars.

The Poodles, HEAT, Adrian Gale, and Grand Design are awesome. Check them out, for you will not be dissappointed.

I am a fan of "melodic rock" and think the line up is fairly strong.. A couple underrated bands that are really good. Of this line up most people would probably say that The Poodles and H.E.A.T are the standouts... I would tend to disagree. If you haven't heard Johnny Lima, Mitch Malloy, Maxx Explosion, and AdrianGale you should check them out.

In my opinion, the true gem in this line up is Shooting Star...This band has always been one of my favorites.. Love this band. Check out their self titled debut, "Hang On For Your Life", and "Burning" releases.

and the one thing wrong about [us] bon jovi listeners, is this:

"bon jovi" sings to "his" sweetheart.

We sing to our loved one...which includes his/her family. oh, and definitely...our family. ask me anything.

Rock-It, I'm absolutely with ya there about Shooting Star! I remember back in the early 80s as a teenager playing my drums furiously along with that kickass musical outburst in the middle of "last chance"...Great stuff!

and then, after you conceptualize that 6 minute match...walk into school the next day and deal with 4, no 9, no 15, no 32, no at least 50 and more...Metalboys!

you wanna be a rockstar? bring it!

Great bands! Heaven's Edge, Grand Design, The Poodles, HEAT, Shooting Star and Adrian Gale.

Leave it to the Maryland Boys - Rock-It and Brian L - to give ya the 411 about these incredible bands. Check 'em out.
