Winery Dogs Release New Video

The Winery Dogs have released a video for their track "I'm No Angel."

The Winery Dogs are on tour all summer -- but they aren't coming anywhere near me. This band remains high on my "must see live" list. Then again, I'm a big Richie Kotzen fan.

Just saw the Winery Dogs in Winston-Salem Sunday night. I thought it was great. My wife took it a step further to say it was the best show she has ever seen.....I we have seen a ton. We had just seen them twice on the MORC cruise, but they were able to do a little more stuff for their own show. They threw in a Richie Kotzen solo song. Billy did a nice solo. And there were a lot of guitar duals back and forth between Richie and Billy. It was so fun. And a much bigger crowd than I thought there would be for a mothers day. That is one talented trio of musicians. Can't wait to see them again.

At the risk of veering this discussion off in another direction, your mentioning of the duals during the winery Dogs concert reminded me of David Lee Roth's tours in the mid 80s when Billy Sheehan and Steve Vai were both in his band. there was a long segment in each concert when they got a chance to battle it out...Pretty awesome stuff! That lineup was only together for a year or two, but with Sheehan and Vai, and Gregg Bissonette on drums, that was quite a gang of hired assassins on DLR's part.

Would love to see em if the price was decent. Not my favorite band ever but they're cool as hell.

These guy's are a bunch of jokers AND poseurs, traits that work a lot better in comedy acts like David Lee Roth Band and Poison. And Portnoy's a completely lost case, never being in a band with any sort of personality.

Like the others, a Progger, disguised as a Rocker, the only difference between Portnoy and the others, besides also being a certified member of Overplayers Anonymous, is both Kotzen and Sheehan had stints in legit Rock & Roll Bands... Sheehan with DLR and Mr. Big (though the latter is stretching it as they border on Journeyesque AOR) and Kotzen in Poison and Arthur's Museum (the latter being the true height of his career.

Winery Dogs is boring bourgeois Prog Rock played by and for the same. The name gives it all away.

p.s. Glad you enjoyed 'me on MORC, NC Rocker. I was checking my Walkie Talkie's when they played the pool stage but managed to catch their first two songs which allowed me to draw my conclusions as expressed above, which led me to sleeping through (literally, in my cabin!) their second performance in the theatre. Bon Voyage, A*sclowns!

Enjoyed " 'em...".

Geez that didn't sound right, hahaha!!!

Enuff of The Winery Dogs insulting the ignorance of those they aspire to be -- the very yuppie demographic they target roaming the vineyards of Sonoma.
