Oh, man, theez boyz are doin' some tourin'! Lemme time it out so I can hit both D.C. and Tampa!, that is if D.C.'s up to snuff, if I make it there first.

Based on Roth's performance with Foo Fighters at Grohl's birthday shindig in L.A. Al posted not too long ago, it's worth a shot, but it might be smarter to catch 'em earlier in the tour due to speculation of certain possible unforeseen circumstances.

Yeh Agree! I'm on the fence with this one as I'm looking at Sept. if it even last that long number one, and number two if he will have any voice left by then????

Just read somewhere that DLR is requesting that Mike Anthony be included on this tour. I doubt it could happen but that would be a game changer for whether I cough of the cash and go or not!

Hopefully they will headline at Milwaukee's Summerfest right in there since they will be in the area !!

I'm always amazed at how some people can't read. DLR made a comment TWO YEARS AGO about wanting Michael Anthony back in VH - it's not a new interview. Kenny Wayne Shepherd is opening all the shows, not some.

And if you look at the dates, you'll see there are NO back-to-back shows on the schedule. Same with last tour. Smart move by Diamond Dave to help him preserve his voice. One day on, one day off...

Good point, Ken, but that didn't help him much last tour.

What a buzzkill they're putting that hick on tour with them. Oh, well, I'msure it's been carefully researched to appeal to a certain demographic of rednecks who like that sort of thing AND Van Halen as it will help sell tickets.

Oh, man too bad the Van Halens can't face how much better it would be with Anthony soundwise, especially for Roth.

People know that I love VH. People also know that I defend DLR's stylings up and down . . . when deserved.

But if the Kimmel performances were any indication, DLR is down to one or two songs max before the cracks turn into chasms. Either that, or he was off a step from the Foo Fighters gig a few months ago.

Of course, I am bummed about this. Bummed more so that they are touring on the back of an only so-so live album and not new material (with Anthony would be best, but EVH's prerogatives drive that ship no matter what fans want and WVH is slagged unfairly save when it comes to not having the vox that Anthony had).

Heck, I would even put up with a shot DLR touring his solo stuff that--as John 5 recently confirmed--is all but done.
