Iron Maiden is back and on the road. The Book Of Souls world tour kicked off Wednesday night in Florida. Iron Maiden is a band I've still never seen live. Maybe someday. For now, check out this amazing show opening video. This must have cost a fortune.

Just another beautiful day in Las Vegas, here... Looked up & look what I saw!

It reminded me of the 1st time I saw Iron Maiden... they had just landed in America, & wandered into the Starwood club in L.A. There were maybe 35 people in the club, & I was watching Nikki Sixx's band, "London" play, when I spotted the logo for the French band "Trust" on Dave Murray's t shirt as they came in the back entrance... I walked over to them at the bar & commented on his shirt, and he told me they were about to join Judas Priest's tour as the opener, but were starting in Las Vegas, in a few days and invited my friends & I to come to the show if we wanted. 4 of us drove to the show at the old Aladdin Theatre (which has been imploded since then), and saw their 1st U.S. gig... That was a LONG time ago!

I still love Maiden and am kicking myself for missing them last time around. Hopefully they come here soon again, because they're at the top of my bucket list.

Haha!! Badland... What I say is true and I'm gonna tell ya everytime when it relates to the subject. The stuff only happened because I lived in NYC and did a lot of work in L.A., places where the action is. And The Monsters of Rock Cruise where bandmembers are easy to hang with.

And remember, it's not about sales and jets and all that sh*t. It's about how good the songs are, whether YOU have heard of the band or not.

Great Shot Ace! and awesome story... I caught them in Tulsa Friday night. I know Maiden is not everyone's band but for me in the early 80's they were another middle finger to the bible belt. The last time I saw them was 87 at Irvine Meadows so this was 30 years coming full circle and the warm up to Doctor Doctor was incredible. Say what you will but for their age they bring it 100% had a great time.
