But How Long Until A Trillion?

You do have to wonder how long it will take to get to a trillion streams?

Taylor Swift has the most on Spotify with over 100 billion streams, and that is the most on that platform. Queen has the record for the most Spotify streams among rock artists. Metallica holds it for metal acts. Looks like Van Halen ranks #65 among top streamers that are also top selling artists of all time. In straight streams, as of today, it looks like Van Halen sits at the 554th position of most streamed of all time on Spotify. Interesting stuff.

Holy Crap, Tomorrow Is Record Store Day!

If it wasn't for the sponsored Motley Crue ad below that popped up in my feed, I would have completely forgotten about Record Store Day this year. I've got so much going on, it just slipped my mind - but the big event is tomorrow! I want to give my favorite local shop, Omega Music, some love!

Speaking Of Expensive Concerts: Bon Jovi Edition

Bon Jovi just announced a special Nashville concert event. Basically, it's a vacation around a private concert. The package is available from Runaway Tours (get it?) so expect more of these events in the future.

The vacation is set for June 13th to 15th, so not long from now and tickets go on sale Monday. I hope you have deep pockets, because this event is two grand a person on double occupancy. Don't worry, that includes hotel WiFi!

Nobody: Here's A SIXX: AM Deluxe Edition

Not sure why we need this right now, but SIXX:AM is offering up a deluxe edition of their Prayers for the Damned and Prayers for the Blessed albums. The cool thing is that the package includes three new versions of previously released tracks.

I would think this will be the only "new" SIXX: AM music we will ever get at this point, so snap it up if interested. The set officially comes out in June.

Meanwhile, 'Toys In The Attic' Turns 50

On this date 50 years ago, Aerosmith released their brilliant Toys In The Attic album. I can't believe the album is 50 but I also can't imagine classic rock radio without "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way" in regular rotation since my high school days.

Also, don't sleep on "Round and Round." One of my very favorite Aerosmith tracks!

Wait! No One Told Me About 'Rock The Locks' Festival

What is this mythical festival in Oregon call Rock the Locks?!? My beloved Crazy Lixx and Dirty Honey are performing, as is Dorothy, Steven Adler and many more! It goes down September 26-28 in Umatilla, Oregon.

The map tells me that is right on the water (locks, get it?) by the Washington state line. I think it is rural, but I've never been there so don't quote me on that. Looks like a lot of fun! Tickets on sale - follow the link in the post!

Reunited... And It Feels So Good

RATT's Stephen Pearcy and Warren DiMartini played their first reunion show together last night at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn. Presumably, the show was a warm-up for the M3 Festival early next month.

Pearcy and DiMartini hadn't even spoken to each other in years, so the news that they were headlining M3 together this year was a bit of a shock. I'm glad they are back together and I'm not expecting anything else reunion-wise with the other RATT members. In fact, Blas Elias and Matt Thor are part of Pearcy's solo band and they are playing these gigs, too.

A couple show clips are below. Just listen to Warren shred that guitar! And I have to chuckle: Pearcy hasn't changed his stage uniform in 40 years. Dude likes his leather and he's sticking with it. I love it.
