Queen To Receive Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award

You would have thought this had already happened, but better late than never I guess: Queen will receive the Record Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award. Other recipients this year include Tin Turner, drummer Hal Blaine, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, The Meters and bandleader Louis Jordan.

Believe it or not, Queen has never won a traditional Grammy award. I suppose this proves that such awards don't really mean much at all - Queen was always in a league of their own. True genius.

The 60th annual Grammy Awards will be held on January 28 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

NOBODY did vocal harmonies better than these guys. Every person in that band could've sung lead if needed,(and we're also incredibly talented on their respective instruments). Of course Freddie was the master, but Im pretty sure that Roger Taylor was responsible, much like Mikey Anthony in VH, for the bulk of the soaring high harmonies in Queen songs. All while playing stupendous drums. Believe he also sang lead on "I'm in Love with My Car" if I'm not mistaken?? (Ace,help me out here. I was usually in a "pungent aromatic haze" back then. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)
Kudos to the remaining members for a long overdue award here. πŸ‘Too bad Freddie isn't around to receive this too....
