Queensrÿche Release 'Man The Machine' Lyric Video

Queensrÿche will release The Verdict on March 1, 2019. One of the first singles from this upcoming album is "Man The Machine." The band just dropped a lyric video for the song. It's below and let me know what you think. I'd say this has promise - this album just might be a good one.

Ugh, more non descript generic wanna be metal, this sounds nothing like classic Ryche. Time to call it a day. No Tate, no Rockenfield...no Queensryche. Oh well, I'm sure the community centers will love em!

This is 2 guys that hardly write music in Wilton and Jackson playing under the QR banner. No way Jose. No Tate, No DeGarmo and now no Rockingfield? The fact that they hide the fact that Scott Rockingfield has been out of the band for 2 years and did not play or write on this release is dirty pool. No thanks. No Tate, No QR.

Sparky is speaking some truth here, though the Tate of today is a long way from the Tate of the gold years. And Tate didn't exactly leave the band with clean hands, even if it does seem like Wilton and Jackson rested on their laurels for a long time and then placed an unfair amount of the blame on Tate for their downturn. DeGarmo? Best you listen to his guest spot on Alice in Chain's new album if you want to hear him these days.

I saw the new 'Ryche open for the Scorpions a few years ago. They sounded fine. Actually, they sounded better than fine . . . and I came in not wanting to like them doing their classics with the new guy La Torre. That is a subtle point. They sounded good on the classics. The newer stuff hasn't sounded that great to me. But the same goes for Tate's output. I suspect that DeGarmo was more of the special sauce that made the band what they were back in the day, no less the amazing range that Tate once had (even if he is doing a better job these days live adjusting to the realities of what he can and can't do vocally).
