Not A Shocker: Joe Perry Cancels Tour

Joe Perry has canceled his solo tour after his recent health scare. Quite frankly I don't know what took so long to make this decision. This is for the best and I hope Joe gets the rest he needs. He shouldn't be exerting himself or lifting - including his guitar! - for a little while. We need him strong and ready for the big Aerosmith residency in Las Vegas this spring. I sure am glad I'm going to one of the earlier shows. Nothing is guaranteed but the guys in Aerosmith are not young. Accidents, injuries and illnesses happen.

Meanwhile in other rock-n-roll news...The Rolling Stones announced yesterday a Stadium Tour. I'm guessing that 75 is the new 45yo.

@fletch Here's some facts about the Stones tour:

1.They're performing in track suits
2. every vehicle in the parking lot will forget to turn off their turn signals and run into the car next to it while parking.
3. The famous Lips logo will be replaced by dentures.
4. Jagger will spend most of the show hollering at the 50,000 people to get the hell off of the stadium lawn
5. Shows will start at noon so the boys can catch the early bird special at 4:00 at The Sizzler
6. Start Me Up will not only be the encore, it'll be a signal to the paramedics to jump start Keith Richards' heart.
7. Depends and Life Alert are the tours corporate sponsors
8. If Mick struts about the stage, it'll be because he's having a seizure rather than trying to impress babes.(who couldn't see him anyway without the aid of the Hubble telescope and an Army battle sanctioned Spotlight.)
