And There You Have It

Don't count on a Cinderella reunion anytime soon. Tom Keifer isn't interested and that means it won't happen until he is... and that may never happen at this point. Tom is focused on his solo career. I suppose he looks at a Cinderella reunion as going backward. Thankfully we still have all those Cinderella albums to relive the glory days!

Totally hilarious comment, BK, especially the detail of the ‘91 Chevy Aerostar, haha!! However, you forgot one other passenger — Brett Michaels!
No offense, Allyson, but I feel like it’s frickin’ groundhogs day because haven’t we already discussed the downfall of Keifer already just a couple of weeks ago, maybe not even.
Do, here we go again ...
To start with, not seein’ or hearin’ the integrity, Basileus.
Now, granted, the first time I saw Keifer solo was on Letterman, which I thought was horrendously laughable, personally, before he even sang one “note” of a new song he was about to perform when he belted out the most off-key scream that was worse than any chalk across blackboard screech I’ve ever heard (and that’s coming from a former Catholic schoolboy who heard it almost daily for three years)!
Talk about having millions of people who tuned in instantly hate you for ever. And the song just plain s*cked, too! I also, have seen several YouTube clips to know I NEVER want to hear another note. And I’ve seen the clips of him with his new band doing the Cinderella stuff.
It ain’t the same! I saw ‘em four times including the last time they ever played on The Monsters of Rock Cruise and despite Le Bar losing his sh*t by passing out drunk on the cruise, he was still nailing his parts on stage and they sounded better than what I’ve witnessed in video.
So, Kenny, I love ya, but what you’re saying is just crazy talk! Cinderella, the classic line-up has that invisible 6th man thing going on when they all play together that’s just not there with the hired hands he’s got playin’ with him now. Sorry to say, it’s a borderline Brett Michaels situation, IMHO.
And, lastly, I thought the same thing looking at the photo featured on this post: What’s with the Red Cross sunglasses? Trying to be cool but coming off like he’s trying to hard just like the ridiculous and cringeworthy scream he let loose on Lettermen that fateful night.
p.s. Realize these are just opinions of someone who told Keifer to his face he’s a legend but, as I said in my comments the last time Allyson posted on him, I feel like I should have never said that to him because of the corny Brett Michaels like narcissism going on with him now.
Groundhogs day 😆
Irrelevant.
I’m not against a reunion, I’m simply choosing to not criticize him or be upset for not doing so. I’ve seen what he does now. It’s close enough to Cinderella for me. I don’t need the name of the band on the marquee to feel the warmth of the nostalgia you all seem to crave. And the solo stuff is, not great, but good. I love Solid Ground. I play it for my friends at cook outs and it almost always prompts someone to ask me about it and buy it.
And to answer an earlier question, Keifer’s decision to avoid reviving Cinderella shows integrity because it shows his commitment to the riskier path he has chosen, likely forgoing bigger guarantees and venues. Doing what you believe is right despite the risks and lesser income he’ll derive from it shows courage and integrity in my book. Reviving Cinderella for nostalgia and to make a few extra bucks does not.
Ultimately, I can understand not liking his solo stuff, and wanting him to tour as Cinderella. I just don’t understand the vitriol directed at him. He continues to do a good job of representing Cinderella, he’s not shunning his legacy.
Ok, I’m done. We can agree to disagree.
Check out him playing "Solid Ground" on Letterman on You Tube. Good stuff.

Too bad Poison doesn't do those summer tours anymore with 3 other 80's bands, as that would open up some decent gigs for these bands and perhaps make a reunion worth it money wise. The last time I saw Cinderella with original members was one of those tours, the Hollyweird Tour (with Faster Pussycat and Winger as well ... killer lineup).
