Oh boy. No, Metalboy! Just no. Bkallday and I are in agreement on this one. It is an auto-tune nightmare of hipster longing and disjointed mistakes, strung along like all of his fans have been for years now. You wait for a moment of something great. If this was a tape, you would rewind it to make sure you didn't doze off and miss something.

Yes, gone is the sheen of over-production that marred recent outings, which so brutally revealed that the Prince has no clothes when he is not swaddled by people with decent writing skills. In its place, though, is under-production. As was said on other sites, perhaps Ozzy should not boast about how little time it took to plunk this tundra-turd into the release shoot.

Face it, folks. 13 shouldn have been his swan song, even if he didn't like it or the tour or Ward or whatever. But he should retire, focus on his health, and stop trying to tour (and Lord knows I can understand his desire to be out there in front of adoring fans, blindered or blinkered or what not). At this point, he is teetering towards the Lemmy route, but without the requisite catalog to back it up. I am not trying to be harsh. I just don't want to see a formerly great musician, and idol for me back in the day, face plant in a quest to do something he simply can't do anymore. Alright, now?

I kinda agree with both sides. It’s auto tune like all pop rap. But that’s ‘current’.

The guts of this song do rock. But will I spend money on it? Not a chance.

Him. The LEMMY “route” was and is interesting. I find Lemmy’s demise as, “I’m on my way out. I’m gonna go out on my terms and rock as long as possible. I saw Mötorhead the September before LEMMY passed. It was sad and touching to see it. But I’m glad I did.

I feel Lemmy got off the road that year. Learned of what the deal was with his prognosis. And then I truly suspect (that’s all I have is suspicion) lol that he quietly “offed” himself with some sort of beautiful cocktail of morphine, Valium etc. I truly feel Lemmy LIVED LIFE. And when he knew he couldn’t live his life. He didn’t. The dude was/is an inspiration on many levels.

All good Him. Just wanted to expound upon Lord Lemmy a bit

I'm more with Metalboy on this... the song rocks! Autotune for sure, but that's a production choice, not a mask. We know Ozzy is authentic and we know he can sing. Yeah, he's not 35 anymore (or hell, even 65 anymore), but this is just heavy, aggressive, rock and roll.

That is simply ridiculous, HIM!

This song has got it all! Retro and cutting edge at the same time! It’s Metal, it’s Punk, it’s old school, it’s new school, it’s everything and is completely over the top!

And overproduced and underproduced all at the same time ... I LOVE the fact Ozzy’s busting out, autotuned and all!

“13” and so many of his other recent outings are just plain more traditional in every way (as you yourself have alluded to) by comparison.

This is harder, heavier and, what’s more, BETTER!!!

If this is ANY indication, as well as the title track, “Ordinary Man” is going to be one h*lluvan album!

Finally, something fresh AND catchier from Mr. Osbourne!

Long Live Ozzy & “God Bless You All”!!!

The fact hat he (cough cough Sharon) brought in the currently uber popular Post Malone on here speaks volumes. I absolutely love Ozz. Sabbath was my intro to metal and all things heavy and dark. (Shoutout Tony Iommi and Geezer for writing) Blizzard and Diary of a Madman were masterpieces in metal mayhem (shoutout Randy and Bob Daisley for writing) His books are some of the funniest and best reads I've had the pleasure of perusing. (Shoutout ghost writers?) Anyone see what I'm trying to say? Not knocking him, as I truly love the guy. But it was his bigger than life, loveable f@ckup, devil may care attitude and personality that has been his contribution over all the years. That's gone away as life has taken its toll. I'm with Bk and Him. I stopped this 26 seconds in. All good things must come to an end. IMHO, Ozzmosis was the last album that truly kicked ass the Ozzy way. You can only get away with clapping your hands, yelling we love you, spraying water, and reading lyrics off of a Teleprompter for so long. ☹️

Thanks for the love, Gary. I knew Metalboy! and I wouldn't see eye-to-eye on this one.

Kixchix, great post. I wish I had seen Lemmy once in my lifetime. I kept putting it off, thinking "that guy is going to be around forever." Couldn't agree with you more, Lemmy lived life, full throttle. Any guy that was in Hawkwind, sang a song with Ice-T, unapologetically wore short-jorts, and graced us with so many great songs (and, to be honest, a fair share of middling ones) is tops in my book.

Favorite song? "No Voices in the Sky," from the much maligned _1916_, featuring Wurzel! That song could make a Catholic priest throw up the devil horns!

Favorite quote (paraphrase): "The bad guys always have the best uniforms."

C’mon, Gary! Seriously, 20 seconds? You’re missing out, man ... That song is PACKED with cool twists and turns, you should at least listen all the way through. If you still dislike it, I can respect that, even if we don’t agree about it.

I think it’s cool he got all those current artists to help him out, though I do agree, it would have been much cooler if it was just him solo. Still, there are plenty of songs with just him, autotuned as he may be.

I just got the album and will listen to it’s entirety before passing judgement and I recommend you Boyz do the same!

You’re exactly right, Gary. Ozzmosis was the last true Ozzy record. Nearly no filler whatsoever and right in Ozzy’s wheelhouse!

After listening to CD, I don't think the songs are bad but the production is horrible. The amount of clipping on all of songs makes it almost unlistenable.

Hello, Paintman. Welcome to the show. What songs stood out to you as good? I am really curious. Thanks for any insight you can offer.
