L.A. Guns Announce New Live Album

L.A. Guns will release Cocked & Loaded Live this July, via Frontiers. The live version of "Malaria" from the album is available now. That also happens to be my favorite L.A. Guns track! You can pre-order now at the link through the Facebook post below, if you are so inclined.

Now that all the legalia is done . . . it's time to catch some non-Riley's "Malaria"!

And so it goes. And it sounds just fine. Band is doing what the band does. The other band adjusted their, um, logo, and is moving on too.

Seems like a petty fight over petty scraps ended up with . . . well, each side doing their thing. Which is fine and also a shame. There is enough drama in LALAGuns to fill a phone book (remember those?).

I actually wish both bands well in this landscape. God forbid they could break bread and admit that they all acted--at one point or another or now--like pompous douche weasels who were far more popular than they actually were/are. Now that would sound even sweeter than this live track! But it would also force some serious 'mirror-looking'. That, my friends, is not metal! Don't question your motives, even if you back-track on the motives you once vehemently proclaimed to be your truth.

'Cuz the show must go on. Now excuse me, as I have some thoughts about Sixx, Kendall, Tate, and Lawless to cogitate about. Please. Don't bother me. I'm thinking.
