I Bought A Concert Ticket!

In a movement toward normality, I bought concert tickets last night! I'm taking Eric and one of my friends to see Brit Floyd at the end of July. I am still leery about buying tickets so far in advance, but I decided to take a leap with this show because it is at a smaller venue and 100% outside. Plus I wanted pit seats.

I have never seen Pink Floyd live and obviously will never get the chance, so I guess this is the next best thing. When I told my friend I got us all tickets, his first response was "it is weird to think about being in a crowd again." Indeed, it is.

That’s awesome to hear, Allyson. I’m sure you need it with all you’ve been through in the past year. I’m sure you will have a blast, those songs are timeless classics. I saw them on the Division Bell tour, although it wasn’t true Pink Floyd of course. I still had an absolute blast & will never forget that show. It’s still in my top 10 of all time concerts. I’m hoping I get a chance to see a show soon, I could really use the escape right now!

i’m still in the wait and see boat about buying tickets. and that is new for me - to not buy tickets as soon as shows are announced. but as most know, TX’s governor seems to be fighting too hard to get back to normal. club shows, indoor and outside, are being set for early may, with no restrictions except a notice that the government may change the rules, and then tickets will be honored at the door on a first come first serve basis the day of the show. too much headache.
but enjoy the floyd. i too saw the division bell tour, and what i remember was pretty cool.

All I have are tickets that rolled over from 2020. Not sure how it’ll play out for them (KISS and GnR; Taylor Swift, my kid’s favorite, was postponed and eventually cancelled). I am planning to attend the VinnIe Vincent event in Nashville at the end of May (but those are smaller events and not like a concert). I get my 2nd vaccine shot on 4/20, so I’ll feel safer about attending after I have that.

I hope your first gig back works out!

I echo Brian. I hope it works out and you have a blast, Allyson.
