That AC/DC Tour Rumor Gains Steam
I've been seeing rumors about an upcoming AC/DC tour announcement online the past few days. Apparently someone in the AC/DC camp posted a date for Minneapolis, MN on April 11. The post has since been deleted (obviously). Looks like a spring run is coming to America for sure and I bet the tickets are going on sale ASAP. Time will tell but I would think the announcement will be tomorrow or so.
I don't plan on attending this tour. I've seen AC/DC live before and I have to save my concert funds for other shows.

I saw them the last time with Axl Rose replacing Brian Johnson. As I’ve said here before, much to the chagrin of many die-hard Brian Johnson loyalists, Axl is the superior vocalist of the two, at least that was the case when I saw them in Atlanta. Testimony to that opinion, is the fact that Angus, for the first time in 30+ years, was able to re-tune his guitars to the Bon Scott tuning, as he is octaves higher than Brian Johnson, as was Axl.
However, I question if Axl can return to that same level, pun-intended, of the last time he performed as AC/DC’s lead vocalist, based on the reed-thin whisper he has been reduced to in his latest performances at the helm of Guns N’ Roses.
That said, if he can return to that phenomenally pure, unbridled vocal power he demonstrated on that AXL/DC tour, I’ll be there, because, as Jeff mentioned, we may never get to see them again after this!
*I saw AC/DC 3x with Bon Scott, 8x with Brian Johnson and 1x with Axl Rose. I also met the “Back in Black” version of the band at an impromptu record signing at Virgin Megastore in Times Square off “Stiff Upper Lip”, plus, several years earlier, I ran into Johnson on the street in front of his hotel at 7th & 53rd where we had a great, albeit, very short, conversation, right after he helped his last night’s girlfriend into a waiting cab. At the record signing, I recounted that story to the band, to which they all promptly responded in unison, “They ALL cry!”
