Possible Motley Crue Tour Ad Leaks

Eddie Trunk tweeted out the above ad the other day (he has since deleted that tweet). The validity of the ad can't be confirmed, but if this really is the Motley Crue farewell ad mat, we know two things: one, that Dodge is sponsoring the tour and two, Alice Cooper is the opening act. Alice makes a ton of sense and would be a huge boon to the tour. We all know the guys in Motley cite Alice as a major influence. Having him along for the ride would be huge. Now I'm even more excited for this tour! We'll know if Alice is on board January 28th when Motley make their official farewell tour announcement.

Also, if Dodge really is the tour sponsor, I suspect we'll hear some classic Crue in a Dodge ad during the Super Bowl.

Rock on the Range 2014 Lineup Announced

Rock on the Range is set for May 16, 17 and 18 at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Guns n' Roses, Avenged Sevenfold and Kid Rock are the headliners. Other decent acts include Five Finger Death Punch, Slayer, Motorhead and Black Label Society.

To be honest, I'm underwhelmed with this lineup. I guess I was hoping for a bigger headliner, or less filler at the bottom maybe. What do you think?

You can buy tickets starting January 24.

So Foreigner Is (Re)Releasing A Bunch Of Ballads

Foreigner is gearing up to release I Want to Know What Love Is - The Ballads at the end of this month. The album is basically a greatest hits collection, featuring 14 of the band's most known and loved ballads.

Here's the track list:

01. I Want To Know What Love Is
02. In Pieces
03. Waiting For A Girl Like You
04. When It Comes To Love
05. Feels Like The First Time
06. Say You Will
07. The Flame Still Burns
08. Save Me
09. I Can't Give Up
10. Fool For You Anyway
11. As Long As I Live
12. I'll Be Home Tonight
13. Double Vision
14. Long, Long Way From Home

The CD might actually be a nice Valentine's Day gift for that special someone in your life... if that person likes music, of course. But I have to pick a bone with this list a little: I don't think "Feels Like the First Time" is a ballad. Some of the other songs are questionable as ballads too. What do you think?

Meat Loaf Plans Las Vegas Residency

Having a Las Vegas residency is very en vogue these days. Motley Crue and Def Leppard did it. Britney Spears is doing her residency now. And apparently Meat Loaf is going back for seconds. His last Sin City residency was such a big hit that he's heading back for another round next month. The residency begins Feb. 18 at the Planet Hollywood Showroom. Meat Loaf will play 24 shows total.

Which artist(s) would you most like to see do a Las Vegas residency? I think Poison, Aerosmith and Nickelback could have great residencies.

Here's some classic Meat for you on this Wednesday. Classic rock forever!

'All You Can Eat' Album Art Revealed

You can pre-order Steel Panther's new album, All You Can Eat starting today. But first, let's discuss this album art. This is perhaps the best album cover I've seen in five years. Agree? Special note to Bob: I'm sorry this post leaves you out in the cold. I try to always include at least a video for you. You'll just have to trust me that the humor of Steel Panther carries to their album art as well as their music.

Lita Ford, Cherie Currie and Slash Perform 'Cherry Bomb'

Lita Ford played the Whisky A Go-Go the other night. Apparently the show was part of the Whisky's month-long 50th anniversary celebration. Joining Lita on stage at on point was former Runaways bandmate Cherie Currie and Slash. The result was an awesome version of "Cherry Bomb." Watch.
