Friday, June 3, 2011 at 12:01AM Have you heard of the movie Heavy Metal Strawberry Pickers? It focuses on the fictional Glam band Kitty Kitty Bang Bang after grunge took over the metal scene. I'm actually talking to the film's director next week, but I couldn't wait: I just had to post some clips from the movie for you to enjoy. I haven't watched the entire film yet, but I will. It's going to be awesome.

There's another Glam festival on the horizon - and this one is on water. Monsters of Rock: The Voyage will sail February 25, 2012 out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Kix, Tesla and Cinderella will headline the event.
Other bands already confirmed include Y&T, Black n' Blue, Firehouse, Lynch Mob, Stryper, Keel, Faster Pussycat and Bang Tango. John Corabi and Eric Martin will also give special performances.
The cruise is just three nights and will sail to the Bahamas and Key West. Right now, no word on pricing, but cabins are slated to go on sale June 13.
Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 12:01AM Who here is getting the Ozzy Osbourne 30th anniversary box set? These remasters are the "definitive" versions of the Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman albums with better sound and previously unreleased bonus tracks. You can get the albums individually or as a special box set. The legacy edition of Diary of a Madman includes a bonus CD of previously unreleased live performances, featuring Randy Rhoads.
The big box set comes complete with remastered vinyl and CD editions of Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman and lots more including a 100 page coffee table book, poster and DVD among other things.
Here's some footage from the DVD in the deluxe box set called Thirty Years After the Blizzard. It is truly great quality.
In case you are wondering, all this awesomeness doesn't come cheap. Looks like the deluxe set is $150 bucks. Check out photos, a full track listing and order through Ozzy's MyPlay Direct site.
Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 12:01AM I stumbled on an awesome old Motley Crue live clip last night! The Crue, performing "Live Wire" in Columbus, Ohio back in 1987. I think the clip was made at Buckeye Centre, but I could be wrong about that.
The thing that baffles me is that it looks like daylight and by 1987, Motley was a well-established act. Clearly headline material. Maybe this video was part of a festival - not sure. Obviously I wasn't at the show but if one of you was... please, fill us in on the details!
Monday, May 30, 2011 at 12:01AM Happy Memorial Day, Glam fans. As you remember our troops and officially kick off summer, I figured it was high time we share our fave songs for summer barbecues. Yes, even a non-meat eater like myself enjoys a good grill-out in the backyard (I like veggie skewers and macaroni salad, in case you wondered). The headline says it all, Glam fans! Saxon and Whitesnake were just added to this year's South Texas Rock Fest. The festival will be held October 7 and 8 in San Antonio, Texas. Also cool is that UFO was recently added to the lineup and there are still more acts TBA.
Ticket information is now on the official festival website. It looks like VIP is available for $250 and two-day advanced tickets go for $60. Single and two-day tickets will also be available at the gate and are priced well under a hundred bucks.
I think this fest looks fun for people in the area. It's also good that it isn't in the summer --sort of spreads out the fun I guess you could say. I'm definitely interested to find out what other bands are added.

I spent last weekend at Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio. The fest is always held at Crew Stadium and some 75,000 rockers attended. During the fest, I hung out with my friends, including The Captain from Shiprocked and Johnnie Nirvrana. I even made a couple new friends. I also saw bands like Steel Panther, Cavo, Escape the Fate (pictured), My Darkest Days, Avenged Sevenfold and many more. Check out my review over at Noisecreep. Enjoy your Saturday, dear Glam readers!
