Twisted Sister Documentary Coming

This is exciting for the Glam film lovers out there. The trailer for We Are Twisted F*cking Sister! was just released. The new documentary will chronicle the band's early club days. There's no release date yet, but the trailer is really cool - hopefully this gets some widespread play and maybe even gets aired on Vh1.

Check Out The New SIXX: AM Video

Just the other day, news broke that SIXX: AM would release a new album this fall. The band is now out with a premiere of the video for "Gotta Get It Right," which is the first single from Modern Vintage. SIXX: AM released a teaser clip of "Gotta Get It Right" and I shared it here - most of the reactions were mixed at best. I'm curious to know if opinions are different now that the entire track is out and the full-on real video is live to "support" the track.

Order Now: Kix 'Rock Your Face Off'

KIX is finally out with their first album of new material in, well, forever. Rock Your Face Off was officially released yesterday and the album is already blowing up the Amazon top seller list! You need to do your part to help KIX too, so make sure you hit up Amazon or iTunes and buy the record - it's like only $8 bucks. I haven't had enough time with the songs to do a proper review, so that will come in due time. For now, you can check out a full album stream on Loudwire.

Imagine my surprise when I saw that Stereogum picked Rock Your Face Off as album of the week. Of course the snobs in the comments section didn't appreciate the pick or the awesomeness that is KIX but I think you guys know what you need to do: get thee to Stereogum and school the hipsters!

This Is Nuts: Wacken Edition

Christian and I always talked about doing Wacken Open Air together someday. At this point in my life, I doubt it will happen. The fact is, we're all getting older and vacation days are precious and I'm not sure I can convince my husband to camp with Christian and me in the middle of a field in Germany, even if I did get there using airline miles! Still, I always enjoy checking out the Wacken lineup and reading show reviews. This past weekend, the fest was even streamed live on the internet, so I got to watch some of it in my jammies - no camping necessary! Imagine my surprise when the news hit that Wacken Open Air sold out the entire 2015 festival in - wait for it - 12 hours. That is freaking bonkers. We're talking about 75,000 tickets here for bands that aren't exactly on the radio. This news gives me faith in humanity!

Here are the bands confirmed for next year so far:

SAVATAGE
TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA
RUNNING WILD
IN FLAMES
IN EXTREMO
U.D.O.
SABATON
AMORPHIS
DEATH ANGEL
POWERWOLF
ENSIFERUM
KATAKLYSM
CANNIBAL CORPSE
SEPULTURA
THYRFING

This festival trailer is awesome and totally made me a little weepy. I love big vacations wrapped around a music fest. Oh, to dream!

Gene Simmons Licks Phil Collen

Phil Collen recently joined KISS on stage for a performance of "Deuce." The creepy lick happens at about the 50 second mark.
