The Most Overplayed Christmas Song This Year

I swear I've heard Jon Bon Jovi's "Please Come Home For Christmas" more than a million times this holiday season already. I heard it so many times in the stores yesterday I thought I would lose my mind. I will say, Jon recorded this when he was very pretty. This video is crazy steamy for a Christmas tune. But I'm good, thanks. I never need to hear this song again. What are the Christmas songs you're really over?

"Best Of" round-up and you'll be want to be ready with your lists to add to the conversation and fun! I'm thinking the "Best Of" post will go up shortly after Christmas. We Wish You A Hairy Christmas

For now, here's a hair metal Christmas song. I'm going to do a little shopping today. I did some yesterday as well. I went to an antique shop and looked at old records. Found a mint KISS album. Didn't have anyone to buy it for though so it stayed on the shelf! I gotta say, it was pristine and would have made a beautiful Christmas morning gift... but you need the correct recipient.

Stone Horses

Remember the Charm City Devils? I'm not exactly sure if CCD are done for good... but now a version of the band is known as Stone Horses. They have a more alternative sound. Let me know what you think.

Van Halen Reboot?

Is the original lineup of Van Halen roaring back to life soon? Maybe, if you believe Diamond David Lee Roth and a new interview he just did. We'll see and I won't hold my breath, that's for sure.

Def Leppard Make It Into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The newest class of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees was announced this morning and our beloved Def Leppard has made the cut! I am so happy for them. They seemed pretty stoked too:

Something For The Vinyl Collectors

If you love records - and who doesn't? - you might be interested in this: a special vinyl version of the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack. I listen to the soundtrack a lot via my Amazon Music streaming. Having the vinyl version would be cool and in April, you can get it as a picture disc too! This would please fans of Queen and those who just love awesome looking records, too. A win-win!

Chicago Open Air Festival Announces Bands

Chicago Open Air is set for May 18 and 19, meaning it will directly compete with Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio. The midwest is pretty big and can support two fests, but I think Sonic Temple got the better bands. Some of the acts set to play Chicago Open Air are System of a Down, Tool, The Prodigy, Ghost, Meshuggah, Gojira, Beartooth, In This Moment, Code Orange, FEVER 333, Knocked Loose and The Black Dahlia Murder. Tickets go on sale 12/14.
