Secret: Queen Is Really Popular

Word today that Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" is the most streamed song of the 20th century. I definitely contributed to that metric for sure! I also think the movie of the same name in theaters now has helped the stream numbers recently. But really, who doesn't love Queen?

Deadland Ritual: New Supergroup

Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, along with Matt Sorum (Guns N' Roses), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol) and singer Franky Perez (Apocalyptica), have formed a new supergroup called Deadland Ritual. There is a debut from the band for the song called "Down In Flames." No word if a full album is coming or not. What do you think?

Nikki Sixx News Dump

I love Twitter for the inane, I swear. Now we known Nikki Sixx ate some McDonald's for dinner, likes classic cartoons... and that SIXX:AM definitely isn't dead. This is kind of interesting since Dj Ashba and James Michael recently formed a new group on their own called Pyromantic. I pretty assumed that was the hint Nikki was bored with SIXX:AM but apparently not. It will be interesting to see if SIXX:AM is releasing a new album or just a one-off track. Nikki swears up and down he's done with touring but I don't believe that either.

Dee Snider Releases 'For The Love Of Metal' Video

Dee Snider's new album is called For The Love of Metal and now he's released a video for the song by the same name. The album came out the end of July but Dee is still actively and aggressively promoting it, track by track and I say good for him.

2019 M3 Rock Fest Lineup Released

For the first time ever, M3 Rock Festival will be three days. The fest is set for May 3,4,5 in Columbia, Maryland. Whitesnake will headline. I question the need for three days. Quite frankly that seems like overkill unless more bands are being added, and that is the rumor right now. Looks like there will be just one stage this year. Tickets go on sale later this month.
