Poison Announces Summer Tour with Cheap Trick, Pop Evil

It's happening, ya'll. Poison is hitting the road this summer. Here's the official release about the tour with Cheap Trick and Pop Evil. I saw a lot of buzz about this online yesterday.

LOS ANGELES (Feb. 6, 2018) -- Music fans wanting a little variety with their summer tour package will get that very thing with the “Poison…Nothin’ But A Good Time 2018” tour. Iconic rock band POISON, with all original members, will be joined by CHEAP TRICK and POP EVIL on its trek across the U.S. this summer.

Produced by Live Nation, tickets for various cities will go on sale starting Friday, February 9 and Saturday, February 10. Each band will be offering their own exclusive VIP packages and meet & greet opportunities beginning February 6 at 12pm local time. POISON will be offering direct-to-fan access to the best seats in the house via their own exclusive pre-sales at PoisonOfficial.com for access to exclusive content, ticket pre-sales and VIP packages. VIP Packages for CHEAP TRICK will be available for all dates, details for which can be found at www.CheapTrick.com. POP EVIL will also be offering VIP meet & greets at PopEvilVIP.com. For more information about the “Nothin’ But A Good Time 2018” tour, please visit Livenation.com.

The bands are fired up to make the journey across the U.S. together. Bret Michaels, POISON lead singer and noted philanthropist says, “The all original POISON is headlining again this summer. It’s going to be a mega concert and party combined. We will be playing all the hits and bringing high energy rock and roll good times. I promise this will be awesome. My friends CHEAP TRICK and POP EVIL will be joining us as well as some special guests on select dates. Again, I know all the bands with all the hits will be giving 1000%!!! Over the last years, POISON has got to co-headline with some great bands:  Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Kiss, Lynyrd Skynyrd, to name a few, but I promise again, C.C., Bobby, Rikki and myself together will bring NOTHING BUT A GOOD TIME!!!”

Incredible L.A. Guns Performance Clip

L.A. Guns will release Made In Milan, a live CD/DVD package, on March 23. The band released a promo clip of the "No Mercy" performance and it is blistering. This is just great Glam. L.A. Guns are enjoying a massive resurgence and they deserve all the accolades they are receiving.

I've seen a lot of folks online talking about buying this package. It's harder and harder to find physical media these days, but you'll be able to order this package from Frontiers. Well worth it in my opinion.

Michael Schenker Fest To Tour North America

For some reason, my host has been having lots of problems over the past few days. This site has been down at times. Now there is a sporadic issue with comments. I'm trying to get the issues sorted, so thanks for your patience. Now, some Michael Schenker news from my inbox:

Few rock guitarists have proven to be as influential and enduring as the great Michael Schenker. And March will be a busy month for Schenker, as he will be issuing his latest album on the 2nd, ‘Resurrection,’ as well as launching a North American tour in support of it - kicking off on the 6th at the Fillmore in Silver Springs, MD, and wrapping up on April 3rd at the Ritz in Tampa, FL.

And what makes this tour truly unique is that it is being billed as “Michael Schenker Fest,” and will be featuring three classic Michael Schenker Group vocalists (Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, and Robin McAuley), plus the singer of Michael Schenker’s Temple of Rock (Doogie White). And in addition to Schenker supplying guitar, he will be joined by second guitarist/keyboardist Steve Mann, bassist Chris Glen, and drummer Ted McKenna. Meet and greet packages are also available for purchase via michaelschenkerfest.com.

First bursting on the scene in the early ‘70s with the Scorpions, the German guitarist and his seemingly always present Flying V were also a crucial reason in UFO becoming one of the world’s top rock bands that same decade (on the strength of such classic recordings as 1977’s Lights Out, 1978’s Obsession, and 1979’s Strangers in the Night), as well as supplying guitar on a Scorpions album that made important inroads into the American market (1979’s Lovedrive). But since 1980, Schenker has been best known for his work with MSG - including such further classic recordings as 1980’s self-titled debut (featuring Barden), 1982’s Assault Attack (featuring Bonnet), and 1987’s Perfect Timing (featuring McAuley).

And soon, lucky North American fans will get the chance to experience all eras of MSG, on a nearby concert stage!

Judas Priest 'Firepower' -- New Song

I'm back at home after visiting Disney World over the past week. I think I picked up a germ there because I have a cold - and I'm very diligent about hand washing and hand sanitizer, too but man, there were people coughing and sneezing everywhere there! I've been resting this morning and plan to lounge all day in preparation for the Super Bowl (go Eagles!)

Imagine my pleasant surprise catching up on the Metal news that I see Judas Priest dropped a new song for us. It's "Firepower" from the upcoming album of the same name. Firepower will be released March 9 and the band will tour as well. Here's hoping that my earache and sore throat go away, that the Patriots lose and there's awesome Metal in all the ads tonight!

Joe Perry Super Bowl Ad Teaser

Looks like Joe Perry will be in a Super Bowl ad just like Steven Tyler. Monster will advertise Joe's signature headphones. So the question begs - which company ponied up the money to have all of Aerosmith together in one spot? We'll see if it happened tomorrow I guess.

Steven Tyler Stars in Super Bowl Ad

The Super Bowl is Sunday night so that means a barrage of awesome commercials. Kia always does a big ad. This year, they've enlisted Steven Tyler to drive their new Stinger. In the ad, Tyler goes back in time. The ad is set to "Dream On" of course. The very end is pretty cool - I watched it three times to really appreciate it. Check it out.

Babylon A.D., 'Saturday Night' -- New Video

Babylon A.D. just released a video for "Saturday Night," a track from Revelation Highway which came out in November. There's a lot of really strong tracks on the album, but "Saturday Night" is probably the best. Thoughts?
