Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 12:01AM Finally! KIX are in pre-production for their first new album since 1995. I've known the album was in the works for a while now... so it is good to hear things are moving along. KIX will use Taylor Rhodes to assist with the production. Rhodes produced Hot Wire, so this is going to be great!
Also, the KIX episode of That Metal Show will air on July 20th at 11pm on VH1 Classic.
Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 12:01AM Aerosmith performed at the Boston Strong benefit earlier this week. The show was broadcast on the Internet but I didn't get to see it because I was otherwise indisposed. I did get to catch some of the show on YouTube. Aerosmith did the show finale with fellow Bostonians New Kids on the Block (among others!), which I think is an interesting combination.
And if you'd like to read a review of the show, USA Today did a nice write-up.
Incidentally, is Joe Perry the coolest guitarist in the history of rock? My goodness, the man oozes awesomeness.
