Asking Alexandria, 'The Black' Out Today

PSA: Asking Alexandria are out with a new album called The Black today. I pre-ordered it so I've already got about half the album in digital format. This is the first AA album with new singer Denis Stoff. I'm really pleased with the tracks I've listened to so far. Denis has a great clean voice and AA keeps expanding on their metalcore sound that I happen to love.

2016 Lollapalooza Lineup Announced

It's hard to believe, but Lollapalooza turns 25 this year! Headliners include The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead. I'll be seeing the Chili Peppers at Rock on the Range in May. There isn't a whole lot of other acts that interest me, except maybe Jane's Addiction. The festival goes down July 28-31 in Chicago. I went to Lollapalooza once and it was huge and awesome. Here's the lineup:

Let's Talk About Cold Sweat!

Here's a blast from the awesome Glam past: Cold Sweat! "Let's Make Love Tonight" is from 1990. The band featured Marc Ferrari. Oni Logan was the original singer, but left Cold Sweat to go to Lynch Mob. Cold Sweat only released one album and it is called Break Out.

This one is obscure - does anyone have any live stories about this band?

Is Steven Adler Part Of The Guns n' Roses Reunion After All?

So check it: Whisky A Go-Go posted an alert on their Facebook page last night, announcing the cancellation of an early April Steven Adler show. #GunsnRoses and "big announcement" are included in the post. So, to me this means our friend Adler is joining the Guns n' Roses reunion in some capacity. #YES.

Monsters of Rock 2017 Cruise Rumors

Rumors about the bands and actual details for the 2017 version of the Monsters of Rock cruise are slowly coming in. The cruise leaves from Tampa and takes place February 2 -7, 2017.

So far, bands apparently on the bill include:

Vince Neil
Night Ranger
Stryper
Queensryche
Slaughter
Tom Keifer
Danger Danger
DAD
Paradise Kitty
John Corabi
Heaven's Edge
The Answer

I assume these are the bands because they are tagged in the Facebook post to 2016 alumni, alerting them to the fact that their early announcement email would be coming soon. I didn't go on the cruise in 2016, so I have no idea if the email has gone out yet or not - please share the details if you got it. I'm kind of on the fence about this. Rock cruises are fun, but they can wear you down really fast too. I like to have some down time on vacation and there really isn't any when you're talking about MORC or ShipRocked or the KISS Cruise or whatever. These sort of trips are not cheap, so you want to make your money count and do everything... Plus I don't know about the bands so far. There's a lot I like in the list above, but I've seen them all with the exception of Heaven's Edge and Paradise Kitty. What do you think?

So Axl Rose Is Getting Ready For The Road

Amazingly, a random Guns n' Roses fan was in the right place at the right time and snagged a photo with Axl Rose out in the wild. The proof is below thanks to Instagram. You'll notice Axl is beefed up - he's been hitting the weights, obviously prepping for the band's upcoming shows.

In under three weeks, GnR plays Las Vegas - the countdown is on! The Instagram user is Mark Guglielmo and he says that Axl mentioned GnR was going to do a whole tour. We'll see. I just hope the Las Vegas shows are killer. My plan for that weekend is to have so much fun I am basically worthless at work for at least three days upon return. #LifeGoals.

Moonstone Festival Postponed Because Of Cyber Fraud

This is odd. Moonstone Festival, featuring headliners KISS and Def Leppard, was set to happen April 30 and May 1 in Orlando, Florida. Now the fest is suddenly postponed due to cyber fraud. The event will take place September 24, 25 instead. It isn't clear who will be on the revised lineup. Truly odd and sad.
