Stryper Annouce Tour

Today's post is from our friend HIM.
The title of this entry is enough to clue you in on the video below:
I love AC/DC. I enjoy Steel Panther. I feel “meh” about Myles Kennedy, especially when I see him singing Guns N’ Roses songs.
But you know what? This is . . . just . . . plain . . . fun. Sure, it is sloppy. Sure, Saenz and Kennedy handle the hand-offs like two lubed up dim wits. Lyrics are mangled. But fun is had. And Parrish does the Chuck Berry (not the Angus Young) well.
In a mid-sized Inland Northwest town called Spokompton (full disclosure: I love Spokane and wish shows other than “COPS” filmed there), Steel Panther reminded people what they are all about. For haters, it is bad parody and poor form. For fans, it is fun times and good memories.
Miles? You made me a fan . . . for a day. You showed up, supported your hometown, had fun, and added to the mix. You pointed to what makes some Steel Panther shows a blast. I salute you.
Alex Lifeson has confirmed RUSH's retirement from touring. Neil Peart is no longer physically able to handle the rigors of the road. It's another sad reminder that our favorites are rapidly aging - if you have a band on your bucket list - go see them. Don't wait.
AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson has to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss. This means the band's current tour is being rescheduled. Some dates might go on with a different singer.
