More Bad News For Europe

Rammstein has postponed their summer European tour until next year. I feel like we started getting mass tour cancellation announcements in April last year, so I'm bracing for that news at this point. I do think there will be some shows in America, but definitely scaled down. Things are much worse in Europe now and it isn't looking good for the summer touring season there.

$175 For A Band Shirt?

I guess Made Worn is a high end fashion brand or something. Apparently Aerosmith is partnering with them for T-shirts. The shirts are $175 each. I'm not buying clothes because I don't need any more pieces, but who is spending that kind of cash on one band shirt? The world has gone mad, I swear.

Hollywood Vampires Cancel European Tour

The Hollywood Vampires have pulled the plug on their rescheduled summer tour of Europe. There are too many pandemic-related travel restrictions to make planning feasible and lots of new variants circulating in that part of the world.

I keep wondering when we will hear about summer shed tours in America. You would have to think it will be soon.

The EU is currently fighting another surge of COVID-19. Many countries are going back under lockdown like Poland and parts of France, including Paris. Meanwhile in America, Miami Beach is under a state of emergency because Spring Breakers are apparently out of control.

Sunbomb Release Video For 'Life'

Tracii Guns and Michael Sweet are Sunbomb. The duo will release their debut Evil Divine in May. Now, there is a video for the track "Life." This is an odd and interesting partnership. What do you think of the track?

Grammy Producer Believes EVH Tribute Was Fine

The producer of the Grammy Awards telecast weighs in on the negative reaction fans had to the lousy 15 second "trbute" to Eddie Van Halen. Ben Winston did an interview with Variety about the matter and Blabbermouth shares a section:

Ben said: "We had a call with Wolfgang before the show, and I asked him if he'd be willing to come on and play. He felt he didn't really want to do that, and I offered up eight or nine guitarists who maybe could. But instead, he felt like we should play a video of Eddie himself, because nobody could play like him, so that's what we did."

He continued: "I would have loved for it to be longer than it was, but Eddie was the only person in the whole 'In Memoriam' to play their own music, with no other faces being seen. I felt that was an appropriate tribute to him, but if Wolfgang didn't, I'm sorry about that, of course.

"It's such a horrific thing to lose a parent. We did the best that we felt we could."

This seems exceptionally lame to me and I understand why Wolfie is upset. Just another sad day in the mainstream music world I guess.
