40 Years Of 'Shout At The Devil'

Forty years ago today, Motley Crue released Shout At The Devil. To celebrate this milestone, Motley just released a new lyric video for the song "Hotter Than Hell." That is the demo that eventually became "Louder Than Hell" and is included on the 1985 release Theatre of Pain.

The demo is part of the band's "super-deluxe "40th anniversary SATD boxset that is due out October 27. (Why wasn't it released today for the anniversary? No idea).

Shout At The Devil is an absolute classic and must-own for every 80s Metal fan. The album alone is probably why we are all here on this site, talking Glam bands so many years later.

KIX Now Selling Final Show Merch Online

If you didn't get to see the final KIX show Sunday night, take heart: the band just shared their merchandise from the event online. This means you can still grab a walkin' away shirt. My guess is this merchandise is very limited quantities. I love the front/back T-shirt design! (No I don't need another band shirt, but...)

Yet Another Band Covers 'Rebel Yell'

So this just happened: Queensryche released a video for their cover of the Billy Idol classic "Rebel Yell." The song is on the album Digital Noise Alliance. I always think it is interesting when bands choose to cover such incredibly iconic songs. Especially "Rebel Yell" which has been covered to death.

Look, there's no doubt Todd La Torre can sing. Of course he sounds good here. I just think this was an odd choice for the 'Ryche. But that's just my opinion of course. What do you think?

Some Amazing KIX Final Show Videos

Truly the end of an era.

KIX performed their farewell show last night at Merriweather Post Pavilion near Baltimore, Maryland. As expected, former guitarist Ronnie Younkins joined the band on stage for some songs as did Brad Divens, who also once played guitar with the group. Now KIXchix has to tell us why he chose that screen name!

This clip shows the crowd on the lawn - it was rainy and still a ton of folks showed up!

Here's the band on stage and leaving for the last time.

A photo gallery too!

Def Leppard Scores Top Chart Slot... For Classical Music

Def Leppard continues to celebrate the success of their most recent release Drastic Symphonies. The album has reached the top of the classical crossover chart. It also reached the top classical spot, which is probably more significant for a non-traditional classical act. You have to wonder... will Drastic Symphonies earn a Grammy nomination?

Is Drastic Symphonies the album that gets Def Leppard a Grammy nomination/award?
