Nikki Sixx Teases...  Something

Is new Motley Crue music on the way? More tour dates?

Then this was apparently on YouTube for a hot minute last night... but I can't find any reference to it now. I guess this is how we get music news these days. Through cryptic messages and "mistake" posts.

I Sure Hope Not - Motley Edition

I saw Nikki Sixx's online comments about upcoming Motley Crue music the other day and I sort of wrote it off as sarcasm. Media keeps picking up the Tweet (X?) below and taking it for gospel so maybe it really is true. (Insert shrug emoji here for good measure).

I know Beyonce just released a country album and good for her I suppose. That said, the last thing I want (or need!) is a Motley Crue country-hip hop fusion album. Just give me some new rock and call it a day!

Nikki Sixx Teases New Motley Crue Music, Setlists

Ok, I'll believe it when I see it, but Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx just posted that he is working on new music for the band. Plus, he's been working with Tommy Lee to change up the setlist for shows this summer. I would welcome that for sure because hearing the same songs at every concert gets old.

The band has a deep enough catalog to mix things up. The top song I would want Motley to drop from their live set is "Kickstart My Heart." I know that isn't going to happen, but I just can't listen to that one anymore. It's like me with AC/DC and "Back in Black." Too much of a good thing ruins it after a point.

So This Happened: New Motley Crue Dolls

Super7 just released Shout At The Devil era Motley Crue dolls. I know quite a few of you collect these figurines. They are honestly pretty cool but the Nikki Sixx doll looks odd to me.

The set of four is $80 and honestly I'm surprised they are not sold-out as of this writing. Check out the figurines (non-sponsored link).

Motley Crue Unveil Online Museum

Now we know what the countdown was all about! Today, Motley Crue unleashed their Crueseum. For now, there are three sections open: "Shout At The Devil," "L.A. Home Sweet Home" and "On With The Show." The online museum is sort of like the Def Leppard Vault. I like the concept and there seems to be some really cool photos to scroll, especially in the "On With The Show" section. The old laminates are interesting. On the Theatre of Pain tour, Nikki Sixx's laminate -- his name is typed on as NIKKI S. and it says Access All Areas - which makes me chuckle since it's his band, but whatever.

The laminate for the Monsters of Rock '84 tour is also featured with some show memories from Vince Neil. I am looking forward to scrolling all the pages.

Motley Crue Are Playing The North Dakota State Fair

So maybe the big announcement Motley Crue are teasing on January 17 is about a tour? The band just announced a show at the North Dakota State Fair, so clearly they are going to be out for awhile this summer.

The Motley show in North Dakota is set for July 19. Gonna be a hot one!

A Motley Crue Teaser

Motley Crue posted a cryptic little teaser on their social media earlier this week. Is a tour announcement coming? Another re-issue? A new album? I won't lie - I'm kind of excited about this and I bet you are, too. I can't wait until 1/17!
