Metal Idiocy

I'm going to start a new theme here on Bring Back Glam! called Metal idiocy. First offender? Vh1 Classic Metal Mania.

Last night, my satellite was knocked out by a storm. I had to watch stuff stored in the DVR instead. Since I was writing and not paying attention to TV anyway, I thought I could put on last week's Metal Mania and listen to the background music. At any rate, Kix came on. "Cold Blood" to be exact. Like I said, I wasn't even watching - but I just happened to look up when the video credit flashed on the screen. The album credit read Blow Your Fuse.

Seriously?

The album is freaking Blow My Fuse. Can no one fact check at Viacom these days? Bloody hell.

Yeah, Blow Your Fuse was the other album they recorded with Cold Blood on it. It includes the hit power ballad Don't Close My Eyes, and Get It While It's Cold. Great tunes!

2 similar mistakes that really pissed me off:

1) On the game show "Don't Forget The Lyrics", during the Bret Michaels episode, the final song he had to sing was "Cum On Feel The Noize". Of course, FOX changed the word to "Cum" to "Come", you know, for censorship and shit like that. The part that ticked me off is that they wrote that it was from Quiet Riot. I know that that's the famous version, but you're not even playing that version! It's the house band and Bret Michaels is singing, so at least give Slade some damn credit for the lyrics! Another thing that sucked is that Bret didn't know the lyrics to the song haha!

2) A while back (I think they fixed it now), if you ripped the Guns N' Roses "Greatest Hits" album on iTunes, it would say that the album is called Appetite For Destruction. I thought that was disgusting. The worst part is that one of my less musically-savvy friends had the greatest hits album and was convinced he was listening to Appetite, and I would try to make him understand that he wasn't, then he'd be like: "So all of a sudden you know more about music than iTunes?" And I'd be like: "Well apparently yes!" Haha!
