Funk O' Metal Carpet Ride

Talk about crazy Swedish Glam! The Electric Boys are very Glam in all manners possible! Yesterday, I actually heard an Electric Boys tune on Hair Nation and I nearly wrecked my car. Naturally I was driving through a construction zone.

Anyway, the band formed in 1988 and released just a few albums. They were always bigger in their homeland than in America...and they eventually succumbed to the grunge wave and broke up. Now, the Electric Boys are back and reunited - and will play together at Sweden Rock Festival! Their biggest song is "All Lips n' Hips" from the album Funk O' Metal Carpet Ride (ridiculous title, delicious Glam).

Oh my god...haven't heard this for years. I remember our Rock club used to play the 12" version every week...went on forever (well seemed like it when you were dancing to it!!)

This always has and always will be one of my favorite songs. It's been on my Zune for a couple of years. The CD is great! One of my favorites in my collection. It ranks right up there with Saints & Sinners.

Yeah, that these guys are back is great news indeed. They're playing a show in Malmo, Sweden in September and since I happen to live in that town you can bet yer ass I'll go.
