Bret Michaels: 2010 Celeb of the Year

You have to admit Bret has, um, saturated the media market this year. From (almost) being decapitated at the Tony Awards, to nearly dying from a brain hemorrhage, to appearing on American Idol, winning Celebrity Apprentice and starring in a new show on VH1 called Life As I Know It, Bret's certainly been out there.
Of course, Bret also toured incessantly with his solo band and released the album Custom Built. Unfortunately Custom Built turned out to be a pretty bad record. In fact, the album landed on a lot of “worst of” lists for 2010.
So, now that Bret is officially Celeb of the Year, I wonder what 2011 will hold for the bandana-clad one? He's having heart surgery in a couple weeks and he's supposed to do more solo dates. Bret is engaged to longtime girlfriend Kristi Gibson...and 2011 is also the 25th anniversary of Poison. The jury is still out on a possible Poison summer tour, although I'm sure it will happen. I mean, how can it not?
So, now the question remains: who will be our music celeb of 2011?

Maybe Vince can grow up and get himself sorted, the Dogs D'amour can reform, Michael Monroe can play my home town and Velvet Revolver can have a great singer.
Happy new year folks
I'm going to automatically discount anyone Fox puts up for that dubious title.
What a sad state our country is in, if this is who we deem Celebrity of the year.
LCD = Lowest Common Denominator.
Forget Michaels.
"Glam Man of the Year"?
Forget Michaels again.
Until he reforms Poison and puts out a REAL Poison Album with all new material that's actually good, I could care less about him.
To me, The Glam Person of the Year honor should go to David O. Russell, director of "The Fighter", the Mark Walberg flick currently in theatres.
Why?
Because the songs he selected to use in the soundtrack are mostly all Glam Metal!
"The Fighter" soundtrack has Aerosmith, Whitesnake and Led Zeppelin (okay, you could argue whether Zep is Glam Metal, but they are unquestionably a major influence on the genre, just ask Coverdale, hahaha!!!)...
I mean, c'mon! Anyone who's got Marky Mark and Oscar winning actor, Christian Bale singing Whitesnake together in a major motion picture deserves the distinction more than Michaels or any of the other clowns one might consider.
Happy Metal Year!
MY WISH for 2011 IS FOR THEIR SET LIST TO CHANGE UP FOR THIS ANNIVERSARY TOUR! Three or Four Songs can truly make a difference sometimes!
HAPPY NEW YEAR GLAM FANS!
I will give the guy credit for escaping seious injury at the Tony Awards and battling back to good health after the brain hemorrhage. After all, he is a human being.
My problem with Bret is the repackaging of previously released songs and pawning it off as new material.I thank Allyson for posting a link to my 5 Worst Albums of 2010 where Bret did make the list again with Custom Built. If it wasn't for Tommy Lee, he would have had the coveted top honor!
I'm not sure who I would put as celebrity of the year, I really don't pay attention to much television or the Hollywood scene but I can see why Fox would choose Bret, it seems like he's everywhere.
