Dilana Out of LA Guns

The Tracii Guns + Dilana partnership lasted just over two months. It's amazing to me, but it seems Dilana is out as singer of LA Guns. She posted on her Facebook that the rest of the LA Guns tour was canceled... then Tracii started posting about saving the dates and then later he mentioned having Tony West of Blacklist Union singing for the band.

It sort of sounds all financial - maybe times were too rough and it just didn't make financial sense for Dilana to stay on the road with the band. Then again, Dilana also posted on her Facebook that the tour was pretty messed up (she used harsher words) and she has notes about it all.

Whatever the case, Tracii is adamant about going on with his version of the band and continuing the current tour. I guess we'll have to wait and watch for details.

Yes, it's hardly worth arguing about; however, Tracii chose to leave the band high and dry. So, I stand fast with the majority on the site that Tracii stops with his LA Guns attempt(s) and do something else. Heck, why not have 10 versions of Guns N Roses, a handful of Van Halens, KISS, etc. after a while it's just silly and rings 'cash grab' to the fans. Great Guns w/ Jack would be good.

Yeah, come to think of it, we identify Phil's voice as intrinsically linked to L.A. Guns tunes. But what started here as kind of a joke notion, Great Guns, might actually make these tunes actually sound better. I actually now believe Jack is, without question, an incredible singer who would actually bring more to these songs than the rather limited, sometimes off key, voice of Lewis. Jack would certainly air 'em out as never heard before, that's for dang sure!

I would agree 100% on that. Be a cool vibe to the LA Guns songs and a nice guitar spin on the Great White catalog. Peace and Happy Holidays to all!
