my new years resolution is to lay it on the line and not come back here for more. If you desire to continue on as metalboy} (oooppss), for some silly theory of yours, so be it. I have proven myself to everyone. And, if they want more, they can have it and I will continue to prove (to them) or (them wrong). until then...peace to you and yours. I picked up on currents and pecking orders which existed prior to my arrival. But this must be some long-standing issue.

And my "pecking order" comments was simply meant to point out something I had noted in the past: some people here engage, others don't, others choose when to do so, and some simply want to comment rather than converse. And that leads to different clusters of people grouping around different topics and different commentators . . . some of whom have been around longer than me. Wasn't meant as a jab; just an observation.

Honestly I have no idea why he likes to mention you - I'm assuming you've never met. Hell, maybe you have. I'm always stunned to learn when my readers end up knowing each other, etc."

MB does attack and it's usually directed at me. I mentioned one time that the "holy grail" of sglam metal songs is Love/Hate's "Don't fuck with me" and the essence of that song has been my focus on this site (and others) from way before MB came here. MB has called me (and others) so many derogatory names on this site, but when (as Allyson readily points out) I "snap back". Notice the flow...MB attacks. I defend.
This site has unfortunately become the Metalboy site. There was a time when we could express opinions freely and with camaraderie. Most recently she attacked Christian Graus for seemingly no apparent reason. I took that cue from her and started attacking her for seemingly no apparent reason. In that case, it was my devilish way of defending Christian who seems like a stand up guy. I put myself out there on the line and opened myself up to more of MB's ridicule, in the name of glam. Not to "bring it back", but to go out on a limp (or a tighrope) in the name of continuing on glam.
Plain and simple. MB started it! I know I sound like a grade school kid with that statement. See what this site has become? That's why my New Year's resolution is to leave this site. I have already taken definitive steps toward that goal in that I rarely log onto hear as I once did.
I am in a comfortable place in my life:
Obama won the election. I've put periods at the end of a lot of situations. I started exercising and running again. I've recently lost a lot of beer weight. I am still married to my best friend and we've been together since 1988. Many former clients (high risk juvenile offenders and their families) have looked me up on facebook and I have been overwhelmed by their gratitude, love and support. I finalized my son's adoption and he is a superior wrestler in a very tough competition school-based area. My other children make me proud every day in oh-so-many ways- academically, socially, their level of kindness and compassion, etc... And I can continue on with all the other blessings that I have in my life.
I am through with MB/Nikki dogging, devaluing and belittling me (yes, we do know each other; personally and professionally- though she has only acknowledged this once on this site.)
But strangely enough, I have decided to take some of her advice and give a head nod to Joe Perry and "Let the music do the talking." "That" is exactly what I have been doing since 2008 (MB know the significance of that year) and it's time I stopped being defensive and instead enjoy and share the music my wife and I created!

Sure, I'm going to offer my opinion if I think his opinion is wrong. And I expect the same from him or anyone else.
"the Metalboy! site" -- now that's comedy. I just make comments on nearly every post here. Isn't that what the Comments section is for?
