If you're a fan of the Sex Pistols and punk, get ready: a very rare clip of the band has just surfaced on YouTube. The previously unreleased clip is from a gig at Ivanhoe's Nightclub in Huddersfield (U.K.) on Christmas Day. The Guardian has a nice article about the video.

P.S Believe it or not guitar riffs are a major part of a bands sound.
You see in rock bands, guitars are the driving force behind a bands sound.

Ha! Never said The Pistols, Poison and Crüe sounded like The Dolls, Bri. What I said is they copped Thunders riffs. Hell, they'll admit it and are proud of it.

And, no, I don't hear Thunders riffs in any of those bands, Devon, and I don't really hear 'em in "Hair Metal" bands beyond the subcategory of Glam Metal. And just as they are prevalent in The Pistols music (Jakki, you contradict yourself in paragraphs 2 & 3).

And "copping a riff" and "sounding like" are two different things. Hell, a polka band can cop a riff and play it on an accordion. You can still hear it.

The only reason I made those comparisons was to give you the benefit of the doubt because you for some bizarre reason think they both have the same riffs. Only the riff for "Bad Girl" was somewhat vaguely similar. I only added "Jet Boy" out of pity.

I always took Steve Jones comments about Johnny Thunders w/a grain of salt because the riffs are not the same at all. I only tried to make the connection recently, just to give you the benefit of the doubt & they still don't have similar riffs.

I have never come across anybody in the real world who thought The New York Dolls have the same riffs as all these bands like you do.

I'd answer your question bro, but I wouldn't know where to start cause you can't even comprehend that Poison is the only band that even comes close to ripping off the New York Dolls riffs and even then it's iffy at best.
