Aerosmith, Extreme and More Perform For Boston Benefit

Some of the biggest musicians to come out of the Boston area will perform a benefit for the victims of the recent Boston Marathon bombing. Artists include Aerosmith, Extreme, New Kids on the Block, James Taylor and more. The concert will take place at TD Garden on May 30 and is being called "Boston Strong: An Evening of Support and Celebration."
Other acts confirmed are Jason Aldean, Boston, Jimmy Buffett, Godsmack, The J. Geils Band, Carole King and Steven Wright.
Proceeds will benefit One Fund Boston.
Tickets will go on sale May 6 via Ticketmaster and Live Nation, with prices ranging from $35 to $285.

Like the implausible 1-off 2005 reunion of Pink Floyd for LIVE8 with Roger Waters joining the band on stage for the first time since 1981 or Led Zeppelin's incredible reunion for The Ahmet Ertegun Foundation at 02 Arena in London, so should Ric Okasek rejoin The Cars, even if it's just this once, for One Fund Boston, certainly a cause as equally important as the others mentioned above.
