Remember, The Grammy Awards Are Tonight

The Grammy telecast is tonight on CBS. Metallica will perform and there will be performances from some of our other faves like Steven Tyler.

The nominees for best metal performance are:

T.N.T.
Anthrax
Track from: Anthems
Label: Megaforce

God Is Dead?
Black Sabbath
Track from: 13
Label: Vertigo/Republic

The Enemy Inside
Dream Theater
Track from: Dream Theater
Label: Roadrunner Records

In Due Time
Killswitch Engage
Track from: Disarm The Descent
Label: Roadrunner Records

Room 24
Volbeat Featuring King Diamond
Track from: Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies
Label: Republic Records

I think Black Sabbath is going to win the award, but who knows. The Grammys can be unpredictable, that's for sure. We'll know the winner of this category before the national broadcast, because the metal category is awarded during the pre-telecast, "web broadcast."

Im not that close minded but I think there should be ton of more rock and metal awards in this. The rock and metal community is the most loyal and it drives a bunch of things into people too. I hope Sabbath wins. But I kinda hope Volbeat wins just so King Diamond has something to do with the Grammys.

I hear ya Dj. King Diamond at the Grammys. Now THAT would shake things up amongst the stodgy music elite. Lol. Rock and metal have ALWAYS taken a backseat at these awards, and it sucks mule balls if you ask me. (Jethro freaking Tull over Metallica for Chrissakes???) Metal was,is,and always will be the proverbial red headed step child at these awards.Hence the only award even given to the genre is in the pre-cast,and not in the actual telecast. But I'm sure we'll see Miley's skinny ass jammed in some bodies crotch about 35 times.....Lol

Yeah it kind of killed me last year. I decided I wanted to watch Halestorm get the award but they didn't even show it. Adele won at least five grammy's though. Don't get me wrong, she has an amazing voice and whatnot, but her music is so disposable along with most of the s**t they give awards to at the grammys.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE deserve it,, but the Grammy judges are clueless. They gave Slayer an award when Machine Head were on the ballot in 2008; Foo Fighters won over Mastodon in 2012(!)... And let's not forget the whole Jethro Tull fiasco.

They'll give it to Sabbath. That's my bet.

Ace! There you are boy! I agree Sabbath is gonna win.

Watchin' The Red Carpet now on E! and Sabbath were just interviewed! Awesome, but where the hell's Bill Ward?

Hey, The Recording Academy aren't completely clueless, Mike. At least they've nominated Killswitch Engage and Volbeat & King Diamond.

I'm just glad to see Metal getting this kind of exposure again even if Sabbath is the only band worth listening to of all the nominees and performers.

Even though Metallica aren't my cup of tea, it's gonna be fun to watch the faces on the Bieber/Beyonce set when they blow the roof off Staples Center.

And Sabbath pick up an award or two.

And McCartney performing with the remaining members of Nirvana their collaboration from the incredible documentary, "Sound City". And McCartney possibly Ringo.

Interestingly, The Beatles are Ozzy's favorite band and he is one of the top collectors of all things Beatles in the world.

You didn't have to be "The Amazing Kreskin" to foresee that Sabbath was going home w/ the little gold Edisonograph...

And yeah, I've been scarce. Moving for the first time in 18 years will do that to you... ;)
