Gene Simmons Makes Money Off Android

Gene Simmons can turn a nickel into a million bucks, so it's no surprise he's found another way to monetize on of the best known KISS tunes of all time. "Rock and Roll All Nite" - performed by cartoon versions of the guys in KISS - star in a new commercial for Android. Pretty smart (and cute) if you ask me.

Fantastic example of Great Advertising. Funny, charming, witty, clever, intelligent, universally appeal, even artful -- it's got it all.

Even more so, because it's one of the more inventive uses of Rock & Roll in the way the song is delivered as kind of a punch line at the end as opposed to just a music bed throughout.

Plus, you gotta love the hip, sophisticated, minimalist cartoon style of the spot.

Chances are someone at Android's agency, Google Creative Lab, came up with this and they approached KISS.

KISS figures were also interspersed with other Android figures in the previous Android commercial w/ Andrew W.K.'s "Party Hard" as the soundtrack.

P.S. Just saw KISS at their Las Vegas residency. Once again, an amazing show from the masters of the "Big Show" !

So you think Gene Simmons got paid for using his likeness in an Android commercial? Also, last time I checked, Paul Stanley is NOT LEFT HANDED! At least the agency's intern clowns could've Googled photos to figure that out! LOL! KISS sucks!
