Winger Premiere Video for 'Rat Race'

Winger will release Better Days Comin' on April 22. Now the band has put out the video for the single "Rat Race." Doesn't sound like typical Winger to me. What do you think?

Just bought it and LOVE it. Totally rocks and it does sound like it came off their last album, Karma. Love the sound.

Exactly! It continues in the heavier vain of the Karma record. I happen to think it's great myself. Kip winger must be pushing 60. do you really want to hear him singing, "I'm only seventeen" at this age? that would be approaching dirty old man territory.

Kip is actually 'only' 52 (born in 1961).
This is more aligned to the Pull/Karma sound--not so sure about the IV sound where they took a more progressive approach. Sounds more modern than what I grew up with, but still has the hard rocking trend that I can count on from these guys. :)

Got news for ya, Bob...

He DOES still sing "Seventeen" and plenty of people like hearing him sing it. AND I will be doing so on The Monsters of Rock Cruise at the end of this month.

Still, you are right... It's good to have new music and, I agree, I actually like this more than much of Wingjob's previous music.

I love winger and every cd but IV. I'm not a huge fan of this song hopefully some better riffs and more melodic songs on rest of the cd.

This song is getting great reviews because it rocks majorly with a killer riff and chorus! I'm betting the new album will be in a lot of Top 10's at the end of the year. Winger has something to prove with every album release and I'm sure they will not disappoint with the new tunes. They will be hard to top at M3, the mighty Winger returns!

Im not a Winger fan at all, but this has a way harder and heavier vibe than any of their other stuff. I kinda dig this song.
