Def Leppard Announces Some Summer Shows

Def Leppard is slowly announcing dates for their 2015 summer run. Yesterday, the band added a couple shows - the fair circuit if you will. The band already has a full schedule of shows planned for Canada and Europe. You can see all the dates on the Def Leppard website.

I really liked Def Leppard back when they still rocked, but after their last putrid release, i'm not at all surprised to see them on the state fair circuit.

No harm in the state/county fair circuit. Many a great (Cinderella, Scorpions, etc.) and not-so-great bands have been known to smother their rock in cotton candy and deep-fried Twinkies when they needed a little cash or needed to fill out a summer tour of the States. Think of it as a festival with a petting zoo and a Tilt-a-Whirl.

Seriously, though, can anyone tell me how DL have sounded as of late? I still have fond memories of them on the Slang tour. And I have heard mixed reviews of their more recent live shows, with some tilting towards "improved" when discussing the most recent outing(s). Any input?

Besides, DL seem to be playing the hits mostly. Like a county fair, they give the fans what they want . . . even if those are fans who think High 'n' Dry is a fabric softener, and mistake _On Through the Night_ for the title of a Cyndi Lauper song.

In the words of a fanboy poster: Long Live Stephen Maynard Clark . . . and put your shirt on, Collen!

Not an all out DL and saw them a few years back with Poison on their summer tour. DL brought it and sounded great in Allentown, PA.

May see them on this one and Tesla opening means 30 minutes to go out and have a few beers before the real shows start.

Hahaha!!!, Me Wise! That's precisely WHAT I DO whenever I'm trapped in a TeslUGH! infected environment!

I slept in my cabin through all of their performances on The Monsters of Rock Cruise last year and will drink my way through their performance at M3 if I even bother to go this year.
