Tracii Guns Has A New Band

Tracii Guns has a new band called Gunzo. I'm not quite sure if this is more of a cover-band type project, or what. At any rate, Rudy Sarzo and Keith St. John are also members. Tracii is apparently still in Devil City Angels as well. Stayed tuned I guess!

Don't worry...Tracii will quit this band within 6 weeks, pretty much like every other band he's sailed thru lately.
I bet Ace knows where the bodies are buried on this one. And Phil Lewis.
And Rudy Sarzo's played with every major frontman! I wish he would play steadily with a major act (are there any left?) like the band's he helped get big like Whitesnake or Quiet Riot (w/ Cavazo).
p.s. "Biggie Fries"! Hahaha!!! You're on a roll, Gary.
Gary, good points all, particularly about Sweet/Lynch getting a write-up in The Philadelphia Enquirer!
Listen to Guns and the rest of _Gunzo_--Guns and Sarzo, get it?--play "Crazy Train" in the vein of the live version that Ozzy released on _Tribute_:

That is pretty damn impressive. And St. John handles his job well; so well, in fact, that I only wish he had been chosen to front _Red Dragon Cancel_ (and I am not bagging on Smith's vox, understand his initial flub, and think he does well ... even if I don't think he fits the old material, and even if I suspect that Lee's demons aren't fully exorcised).
But the cracks are there already. St. John says this is just the previously announced reboot of _Tracii's L.A. Guns_. While I think there is some promise here, there has been a lot of promise before. St. John would be better off sticking with _Burning Rain_, unless, that is, Aldrich pulls a Guns and decides to focus on _Revolution Saints_ (another good band).
Still, in this environment, with all of these problems, and all of these players switching and changing and double-dipping, who knows?
It's a long way to the top . . .
[Sarzo? Fun to watch and clearly a legacy as well. He still hits that bass like it is going to make the hair dye fly off his head. Like a Greek tragedy, though, the circle of options is going to keep getting smaller and the chips in said legacy will grown bigger. Utility player, Sarzo is not. But he has to play one, it seems, to make ends meet and to keep his passion for music active.]
I do like the fact that Guns didn't name this latest permutation Tracii's L.A. Guns.
I like the name GUNZO! A clever and fitting way for him to incorporate his name without putting it before the name of his old band or any band name, for that matter, which is the transparently cliché and completely narcissistic marketing way.

Never doubted that Kerslake and Daisley still had it (one thing that Ozzy couldn't steal from them), or that Airey is a talent unsung too often. Morse? Mighty fine and finally found his place on the last few DP albums.
But Barnes?!!? I have never heard of him before. He blew me away. In tune with the spirit of the song, but distinctive and engaging on his own. Where has this guy been? A quick scan of his credits suggests I need to acquaint myself with Cold Chisel (hell of a band name).
What a fantastic find. I hope others check this out too. Thanks again, Bob.
Cheers.
