Bret Michaels Walks Back Def Leppard Tour

Bret Michaels performed a concert at the Downtown Jonesboro BBQ Festival in Jonesboro, Arkansas on October 1. A few months ago, Bret confirmed Def Leppard and Poison would tour together next summer. During his show in Arkansas, he walked it back a little and said he is "hopeful" the two glam bands will hit the road together next summer. I'm skeptical.
Here's a clip, and a note: apologies but I just can't write much right now. I am dealing with a lot of pain in my hands. I don't know why, but it isn't pleasant. I am forced to type all day at work and when I get home, I just can't type much anymore. Hopefully I'll get this figured out.

Least important part second, ah Bret. To be rich and clueless, branded and Poison-less. I think fans and foes alike recognize that your solo tours are highly profitable for you and likely very masturbatory. They increase your wallet and your ego. And, swaddled in the warm embrace of soccer Moms everywhere, it is hard to see the fans for the fees.
Def Leppard seems to be on tour continuously. So a bit of the bloom is off the bud (that is, to be fair, a bit past the bloom itself). So how hard would it be to jump on their carousel and bring along the band that made you? Not hard, I'd wager. But I wouldn't bet on Bret and the Boys doing much of anything until the actuary table that is Bret's crystal ball says, "jump." Cold, calculated Glam. Is that even a thing?
Him, you never fail to make me laugh with your "snarkability" to go along with your spot on assessments. I gotta think Brets Clydesdale extensions make more $$ paying his sidemen a pittance every night, rather than having to split a bigger pot equally 4 ways with what brought him to the proverbial dance in the first place,...
Find a good neurologist and hand specialist.
And as both he and KixChix suggest, you should have your hands looked at immediately!
As for Brett Michaels, once again, HIM nails it. Michaels is absolutely clueless.
What Poison makes is Art. What Michaels makes solo is Artifice.
Since the ink is dry on the contracts yet, he was told to walk back promises that they will tour together in case it doesn't happen (for a variety of reasons) and then fans will start trolling and bashing different Def Leppard and Poison members on various websites blaming any and all band members for any number of reasons.
As for Bret Michaels solo, I shamefully admit that I have purchased most of his solo outputs. Why? Because his first one, 'Songs of Life" is surprisingly good and still holds up today. It is his only solo effort that I still listen to.
Wikipedia states that the songs are inspired by events in his life, which they were; but I (barely) remember an interview with (I believe) Mr. Dall who said that Bret first came to Poison with a bunch of these songs and if the band didn't think it was a good fit for "Poison", they would tell Bret, "Save it for your solo album". The rest of his solo output is garbage and I've given most of 'em away to an indie/used record store near my home.
Also, SOL, was released in 2003. This was at the height of my foster-parenting when I was playing it continuously and I have many fond memories of singing the songs with my two teenage foster kids and also taking them to BM solo shows (much to the chagrin of their caseworker; tipper gore be damned)- perhaps part of the reason why I hold it with such high regard.
And, I'll chime in medically (or as I've been professionally trained on the biopsychosocial perspective: Forget the neurologist or hand surgeon, Ally...smoke a little weed or go to a psychiatrist (I jest).
Obviously, the one who really needs the neurologist is Brett Michaels. What an IDIOT!
Of course, except for when he climbs back on stage with POISON! It is at THAT moment when I will cut him a break, give him a second chance and elevate him to Subgenius level!
"A couple of weeks ago in spite of a clean scan, I tested positive for another cancer mutation unrelated to my previous cancer in a Gaurdiant circulating cell DNA test. Dr. Cohen doubted the results and retested me. The test takes two horrible weeks. This morning I got the text... No mutations. 100% cancer free! I'm beyond words happy. Clean scan, clean DNA!!!"
And it is a great day when a Dr. (not named Feelgood or Love) can offer a bit of advice. Nice to hear that Allyson is getting things looked at.
Fletch, I would love to believe that Brett was inspired by concern for Rikki. Really, that is the best and most optimistic take. But in recent years there has been little sense that the former had much concern for the latter. I am not venturing a guess, just making an observation.
As Metaboy! artfully notes: most of Brand Bret is about artifice these days. But I will reserve judgment, think the best, and hope the same for the fans. Moreover, I will wish Rockett a continued clean bill of health. When it comes down to it, that is more important than armchair whiffle ball the Monday after the small game.
