'Right Now'

I watch a lot of news. I mean, just a ton of CNN. And all they talk about these days is American politics, specifically Donald Trump. I'm not a Trump supporter or a Republican, but I'll be darned if CNN doesn't show his rallies every night.
Trump has taken to using Van Halen's "Right Now" as his campaign song (a brilliant choice, honestly). That song just sounds damn killer on a loud PA. So, after watching the news last night, I had to jump to YouTube and check out the video for "Right Now." Good stuff. Reminds me of my childhood. And all the little word phrases on the screen are basically still true. I do love Van Hagar. Sue me.

He was also a donor to George W. Bush's re-election campaign & when John McCain also used the song, Hagar was fine with it, also.
It IS a brilliant campaign song:
Because... "Right Now, nothing his stronger than regret".
Thing Trump is wrong about -- That he will be President!
Hail Hillary!
p.s.
As for the political use of it ? Clinton got elected by Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop", so why not someone getting elected with Van Halen (Hagar) ?
Its really about anyone but Hillary. America needs a leader, not someone you vote just to think your vote is cool and you voted for a woman. I do hope a woman becomes our president someday, just hope its not this one.
"Never have been a fan of that song. Way too much pomp and circumstance to have the Van Halen name slapped on it. to my mind, Van Halen is all about swaggering party rock, not introspective piano wankery."
I assert, that Thee only reason it became a 'hit" was because of so much promotion and overplay that the up and coming 'soccer moms' sought out VH to be hip and 'in the know'. Whereas, I would say to that demographic (and still do)..."NO!" The song sucks just like many of your outlooks in life.
MB is spot on with this:
"Things Trump is right about -- Bush ignored the evidence of the attack on the World Trade Center... Bush started a phony war that wiped us out financially... He's also right about what idiots all the other Republicans are... And he's also right for picking 80's Hard Rock and Classic Rock for his events.
Thing Trump is wrong about -- That he will be President!"
My wife hates Hillary more than JT Ripper himself, and even when I press her on who she would vote for between Trump or Clinton, she (very reluctantly) concedes, "Probably Hillary". Although that's not an absolute, she is starting to understand that the top three Republican candidates are Neanderthal, hillbilly rubes...much like Senor Ripper.
Hillary and/or Bernie can only make it better!
"Right Now" Bernie is thinking up more ways to punish successful people and reward deadbeats. "Right Now" is a great song, regardless if you think Van Halen should be only party rock or not. "Right Now" many of you are probably thinking I am a Trump fan. "Right Now" many of you would be incorrect.
"Right Now" I would vote for anyone BUT Killary, even Neanderthal, hillbilly rubes.
Boy Ripper: you think you have what it takes to keep up with me? Now, that's funny!
HILLARY
... will be our next President!
p.s. Oh, and "Right Now" frickin' s*cks just like Van Hagar! It just may be THE worst song they ever recorded and I'm talkin' both versions of the band... Viva Diamond Dave!
This is some funny stuff. Most post on here all month and it has nothing to do with glam. Maybe change it to Bring Back Politics. Most of the stuff posted on here has already been read on other sites days earlier anyways. Yall should make a side bet and whoever loses never post on here again. Walk the walk.
Btw none of my business but arent the Clintons from Arkansas? Hillbillys?
Music is such a huge part of politics, whether it's Right Now or We're Not Gonna Take It, the music specifically the message and lyrics pull people in..
Which presidential candidate exemplifies the freedom and expression of Rock n Roll?? Who will wake up the sleeping giant of the Rock n Roll world? Who will make America Great Again?? :)
