Not a fan of classical music so I personally have no interest in this.

This is true for me when other musicians do this sort of thing too. No thanks.

Most of the time, when rock musicians, even brilliant ones, branch out into classical music, the results aren't all that great. Paul McCartney and Billy Joel are two prime examples. It will remain to be seen how Winger does in this genre. A notable exception is the late great Jon Lord. His classical complositions are really high quality, but the difference is that he was classically trained. also, when I talk about his classical music, I'm not talking about Concerto for Group and Orchestra, or Gemini Suite. I'm talking about the stuff he composed strictly for orchestras without any rock instrumentation.

Rita, have you ever heard the album, "Classical", by ACCEPT guitarist, Wolf Hoffmann? It features fully Metalized versions of classical pieces?

I have a feeling you would appreciate his interpretations of that genre because it frickin' ROCKS!!!

As Bob noted with Jon Lord, Hoffmann is also classically trained.

Enjoy!

Metalboy! I haven't heard of that album but metalized versions of classical pieces sounds much more appealing to me.

I will check it out sometime. Thanks.
