Tom Keifer Pays Tribute To Prince

Tom Keifer played M3 Rock Fest over the weekend. During his set, he played "Purple Rain" as a tribute to Prince. It's a nice tribute to be sure. I just wish we could get some other songs as tributes. Prince was prolific - there is more than just "Purple Rain!"

A public memorial for Prince will be held outside of Los Angeles City Hall this Friday at 5 p.m. local time (8 p.m. EDT).

Totally agree, Prince wrote a ton of cool songs but everyone out there cover the same damn tune, it's a shame.

Maybe Keifer should have covered Pussy Control.

It's cool to see different artists giving Prince the respect he deserves, yes there's tons of more great songs to cover bur Purple Rain is just so iconic, a song everyone in the crowd would go nuts over.
