Happy Sunday. I'm going to a Halloween party tonight (yes, on a Sunday). I'm pretty pumped - Halloween is my favorite holiday. I thought it would be fun to feature some Halloween type tracks we never talk about here.

Wow! What a list Metalboy. About a month ago I bought a 3 disc compilation called Halloween Nuggets-Monsters Sixties A Go-Go. It's a 100 song comp. that is Halloween or horror movie based from the late 50's and 60's. All the songs are from that era and are the original artists. I had no idea so many monster movie related songs were in existence during that time. We've all heard the Monster Mash, Time Warp and the like that we hear on the radio this time of year but this thing goes deep, real deep into the genre. I don't think I had heard any of these songs on this comp. until I purchased it. Like you guys, I typically make a Halloween based playlist from my cd collection but this year I've only been listening to this.

I'm still diggin' the music even after Halloween. Sad Halloween is over though. I love Thanksgiving and Christmas but I work in an industry that gets very hectic during the holidays. Not looking forward to that.

Another great Halloween compilation. These Ghoulish Things : Horror Hits for Halloween . Another bunch of songs from the golden years of monster movie based music, the 50's, 60's and early 70's. Different songs from the previous compilation I mentioned. Can't wait til next Halloween. Now, for a Thanksgiving playlist ???
