Pop Evil Releases New Music

One of the modern bands my husband and I both love is Pop Evil. The band is releasing a self-titled album in February and have already released a video with the first single from their new album. The song is called "Walking Lions"

This band makes good music and does fun live shows, too. I've seen them live quite a few times and it is always a good time, so definitely check them out if you can.

Down-tuned guitars with lots of pinch harmonics, that half-time drum riff that then changes to 4/4, the overly-obvious drum triggers and ProTools production, the one-note melody in the verses that becomes melodic in the chorus -- you'd swear that this was written and recorded in the early 2000's when new metal began morphing into metalcore. Sounds like an attempt to bring back a trend that a lot of people wish never started in the first place. Allyson, I'm really sorry; I know you and your husband love this band, but I've never understood their appeal, and I still don't. Simply my opinion of course.

Very solid hard rock band, imho. Allyson is correct, may I add... in that they are a very good live band.

Hahaha!!!, Bob! ...

You said it, Bob! When you spoke the words, “... bring back a trend”, instead of “Bring Bsck Glam!”, you sure you don’t really mean, “Bring Back The Millenium!”?

I never cared for some of the newer radio rock type bands but these guys are an exception, I've always liked em, I don't know why, maybe there is something different to them.
Not big on this song though, but will definately check out the new album.
