Here's New Mark Slaughter Music

Mark Slaughter will release a new solo album called Halfway There next month. Now we're getting some of the songs off that new record. The hooks are pretty good here. What do you think?

Not bad at all. Although, I'm not surprised because I thought his last record was very good. He has found a groove that is fun to listen to, and that makes the best of what is left of his voice. I like it.

Another artist trying to cash in(which is all it's about these days, unfortunately) & leave all his former bandmates behind, in order to go solo and make more money for themselves. Not that there's anything wrong with wanting to make more money, but it's still kinda weak, and let's just tell it like it is. You hear me Rob Zombie & Tom Kiefer? Btw, I thought this sucked and I loved Slaughter back in the day. If he comes around, like Kiefer, I will not be going. But if they were with bandmates from days gone by(get it?), I'd not miss it!

I like these two songs better than his first solo album, which was pretty good to be fair. Also BK Slaughter is still together and they play all year long on festivals and one off days all the timeil. If you get the chance to see em, go, they still sound pretty damn good.

I know that but why couldn't he had spent that time and energy into creating a new record from Slaughter? This is exactly my beef with Sixx. Why couldn't he had put the energy into the Crue that he was putting into Sixx AM? Just a bad look, imho.

Good point. Id like to see new releases from classic bands, but the downside is only the diehards would actually be interested. Nobody really buys music anymore and most people who go see Slaughter or any of our favorite bands go for the hits and older material. They bands themselves are more of a name and a live act at this point that's why I tend to think they go solo.

That's fine & dandy but I hate nostalgia bands. Either keep making new music or I'd prefer they retire. LA Guns, Kix, Skid Row, & even Warrant prove it's possible. But if ppl wanna hear the same songs over and over, good on them. I'm just not gonna be one of em, and there are plenty like me. Poison is an absolute joke these days, and that's just one example.
