It's Monday...

The weekend went way too fast and I'm not in the mood for Monday. I spent the weekend working on various projects and I'm pretty tired. I feel like the cat looks below. Yesterday, my husband and I did some construction work on our basement and listened to Hair Nation for about 4 hours straight. I realized that Hair Nation plays a ton of Warrant. In my house it's always 1989.

Does anyone have any music suggestions for my running playlist? I need new metal. I haven't been able to find anything really great lately. Remember, I'm in to metalcore so hit me up if you are too.

Hi Allyson - I go through the same thing sometimes, just burnt out on everything - Try a band called Ammunition - Wrecking Crew and Silverback are a couple of their songs I have added to my playlist... I don't listen to too much new stuff so one thing I do is go back and pull deep cuts that i like but are never in rotation on Hair Nation or Ozzy's boneyard. I just added Ozzy's breaking all the rules to my playlist (as an example) Hope your Monday goes great.

I know a lot of people hate 'em, but I find I do my best running to 5FDP. Jeremy's pounding double-bass beats help me keep a good pace (good for me, anyway! I'm not gonna win any 5Ks!).

For me, no workout is complete without a healthy serving of Beartooth, Asking Alexandria, A Day to Remember, Attila and Motionless in White. In terms of new bands, Attila has become a bit of a guilty pleasure - they are like a deathcore version of Limp Bizkit, complete with ridiculous lyrics and breakdowns designed to get people jumping up and down in a moshpit. When I'm nearing the end of a long cardio session, these guys always give me a good boost of energy.

A couple of other new bands that I'm really digging are Radkey and Turnstile.

The singer Priya Panda is a hardcore fan of Glam Metal (she loves Motley Crue & Guns N Roses etc).

Metalboy you never disappoint - what a list - I always slow to pick up new bands - OMG just started listening to Halestorm and the Dead Daisy's but Halestorm has to be my favorite right now - The Crank County Daredevils didn't they do a cover of that O' Brother Where Art Thow song - I will be checking a bunch of these on your list out.
