Watch Alice Cooper Burn Down Wacken Open Air

First off, click play on the video below. Just look at the sea of humanity. I dare anyone to say metal is dead. Second, why is Alice Cooper playing during the day? Third, watch the legend burn it down.

I pity the bands who followed him at Wacken Open Air earlier this summer. Here's amazing performances of both "Feed My Frankenstein" and "School's Out." Happy Friday!

Massive festival ain't it!? Wow

Alice looks and sounds incredible. ICON and innovator.

I remember his resurgence in the '80's and he had some huge hits.

Dude literally srote the book on shock rock. And going on 5 freaking decades later, he's STILL the 1st chapter in said book 😎🤘

Always respected him, but never been much of an AC fan, but I'm glad I took a moment to watch this. The dude is like 962 and can still run circles around anyone out today. Wow! Ninja rock star indeed.

And Nina can play the F*** outta the guitar!

@TexJay. Great catch. Nita is an absolute monster shredder. A lot of guys don't look past the obvious when it comes to her or say Courtney Cox . Sure they're smoking hot to look at. But as someone who has played for 40 years now, trust me when I tell you these girls would kick my (and a lot more famous male players) asses. They really are that good. (And that's a cool thing in this guys old jaded eyes. Lol)

You don't stick around as long as Alice by being stupid. You surround yourself with young, talented musicians that drive you nightly on stage and keep you invigorated.

. . . and let's not forget just how close AC got to being a statistic before he restarted his career. While I still prefer his 70s stuff to the 80s stuff, no denying his continued popularity and stamina, no less the way he has introduced new talent as they run through the ranks of his band. Not to mention how generous and kind he is to other acts (and fans), as well as his involvement in charity.

AC is a template for class.

And his audience has responded in kind. About 10 years ago, I took my foster son to one of his shows at Penn's Peak. During his performance, his sword was accidentally tossed into the audience right near where we were standing. I thought it was part of the show and that the guy who grabbed it got a nice piece of memorabilia.

Turns out that the sword was caught up in the dancer's whip and was flung into the audience when she cracked her whip. Alice contacted the media, offered a reward, tickets and backstage passes. The man who was with his 12 year old daughter at the show, returned the sword, but would not accept a cash reward.

What a valuable life-lesson this father taught his daughter.

I like Alice, always have, but the crowd seems like they couldn't be more not into it, even if they tried. Sad cuz he's a great live performer. This is really a metal festival though, so that may be it.

I've seen him a few times and he kills it!! He wrote the book on shock rock and still does it best. It's cool to see in his age the production, songwriting, and stage presence is better than a lot of the new mediocre watered down rock bands.
