Def Leppard Is Touring In 2018

Def Leppard will tour in 2018 and they will perform Hysteria in its entirety. This will be part of the band's 30th anniversary celebration of Hysteria.

It sure seems early to announce tours for next summer, but hey, money talks and if the band can lock in offers, they might as well. So now the question is - who opens? They just went out with Poison and Tesla, so it won't be them. Maybe Def Lep will flip the script and choose a newer band. That might be fun. Thoughts?

At this point, the fact that they were _not_ touring would be news!

But good for the boys. Still bringing it on the road (sorta') and doing it for (mostly) the right reasons. I am sure their iteration of "play the album" will be a big success. And that isn't me being snarky. They still draw good crowds, and fans seem to like an album's worth of nostalgia. Win-win for all involved.

For Metalboys sake, hopefully Tesla is the opener. I know he can't get enough of Frank Hannon and the boys...😜

I was gonna say the same thing Him. That'd it'd possibly be bigger news if they weren't? Lol. Doing Hysteria in its entirety is a cool gig. Shit ton of good songs on there. They should maybe mix in some early 80's stuff from "High and Dry" and "On Through The Night".That'd most likely get this jaded old fart to go see them again.

didn't they just do this with "hysteria?"

FINALLY !!! One of these bands gets it on how performing an album in its entirety on anniversary dates is a reason to get old farts to come back out.

(I'm looking at you 30th anniversary of Girls, Girls, Girls)

Opening band... Just find a band with a similar anniversary thing also and have them open. 2 openers doing short sets sucks for me personally.

And yes, maybe bring Tesla back out again (highly unlikely, since they've been doing it for the last 2 tours) and play Great Radio Controversy in its entirety :)

New bands ? there are plenty of fun new rock n roll bands for sure. Even some that the Def fan base would get into.

I love Hysteria, don't get me wrong. But they just did it in Las Vegas and you can get it on Dvd. do High and Dry or Pyromania. Now that would be great or both Hysteria and Pyromania in it full!!!!

FINALLY!!!, is RIGHT GNR!

That is, FINALLY Fat F*ck Hack Hannon keeps from f*ckin' up my vibe before I see Def Leppard, unless of course the promoters f*ck it up again by getting another equally shite band such as Ugly Kid Shmo, or whatever other crap they can throw in the opening slot(s).

If they can manage that, I will FINALLY go see them!

p.s. I know ... I know ... I'm an idiot poseur for NOT having seen Def Leppard back in the day! Believe me, I kick my own a*s EVERYTIME Def Leo gets mentioned. To think I had the chance to see them when Clark was still around and Elliot still had his voice and didn't make a point of it... I really should punish myself by self flagellation ... NO, NOT that kind, haha!! ... I'm talking about when you whip yourself into subconsciousness but I could think of something even harsher than that ... Can you guess what it is? Bahahahahahahaha!!!! \m/

EDIT: "Def Lep" ... Frickin' autocorrect!

@Metalboy LMFAO at Hannon!!! As for the "self flagellation", I commonly refer to that other kind as "Flogging The Dolphin" ...😂😂😂

Another spit take, courtesy of Gary! You keep on keeping on.

Imagine Lep doing some of the old stuff. I could just picture it. Campbell would be standing on one side of the stage; Old Oily on the other. And all that would be going through Campbell's mind would be "Ah, so that's why people like the Willis and Clarke eras of the band the most!"

It must be difficult being a grunt trying to take the place of the Riff Master (and a 3ft tall drunk)! The only thing worse would be finding out a hologram is slightly more popular than you are! I kid. Truly, I kid.

I'll be going!!! And Metalboy! You've gotta catch em, I've seen em twice in the last two years and they still sound great. I wish they'd play some stuff off of High N Dry and "Wasted" but the whole Hysteria album live should be fun.
