The Vinnie Vincent Comeback Is Here

Vinnie Vincent performed at the Atlanta KISS Expo yesterday. He was joined by Robert Fleischman (Vinnie Vincent Invasion) for some of the show. Here's a video of the entire performance. I'm going to take this to mean Vinnie Vincent is back - maybe we'll be seeing more of him. I hope so.

Anyway, Vinnie's interview at the KISS convention is fascinating. It is long (about an hour) but worth your time. With my ADHD, I listened/watched it in 4 segments. However, he covers so much history in brutal, sometimes evidently painful, yet respectful honesty to the time he spent in KISS and to his own legacy.
He discusses his songwriting process with Paul and Gene (even at Diana Ross's house), how he eventually became a KISS member, how much money he was making and what ultimately led to his departure- and then his 10 year lawsuit against KISS seeking owed royalties. He also discusses his uphill battle to get to get Vinnie Vincent Invasion afloat and the struggle to keep it going. Amazing stuff. Pour yourself some coffee and enjoy...

Social media was buzzing about all sorts of garbage.
As a casual fan, I’m rooting for VV all the way!!!
Hopefully we hear some new music and see some show announcements soon because a lot of people would love to see it and I assume he has lots of material due to him writing and recording this whole time. Glad to see him back.
It will be interesting to see if he follows through on his assertion he would like to reform the band for a possible reunion.
I wonder if he would get Strum? Or Slaughter, for that matter. Whichever line-up he winds up with, I’m there!
P.S. Neither Strum nor Slaughter would ever entertain working with Vinnie ever again.
I have no idea how these musicians actually made a living
Check out “Hired Gun”, the oft mentioned Netflix documentary about sidemen and women for more perspective.
I suspect there are quite a few people who would start with: where is the stuff I paid for that you promised to provide and never did? Others might ask a few questions about his last brush with the spotlight, all for not exactly wonderful reasons (and filled, no doubt, with some half truths and salacious details that tilted the story against him).
No matter. He probably could tour with Fleischman (who sounded pretty good there). And he could probably do that with or without rehabilitating his image and showing how well grounded he is (now). Heck, he will have to do it without the other guys in Slaughter; that seems like a burned bridge (pun intended).
My question is this though: how frail is he? And how long could it last? He would be stepping out again on smaller stages with limited returns. That strikes me as a delicate balancing act for a man who has proved to be both temperamental and hard to predict.
